TRAVEL TO MOVIES: HEREDITARY

Director: Ari Aster
Cast: Toni Collette , Milly Shapiro , Gabriel Byrne , Alex Wolff , Ann Dowd , Mallory Bechtel
Plot: An evil supernatural force looms around the Graham family after the passing of their matriarch. This causes the revelation of cryptic and terrifying secrets about their ancestry that they never knew. The more they discover, the more they find themselves trying to outrun the sinister fate they have unfortunately inherited. The only way to save themselves is to explore the dark truth of their history.

My Movie Review: The movie is horrifying leave us shocked chill to the bone under your skin!! Hereditary is intelligent new kind of horror not scary as expected but well-thought acts haunt! This is excellent at first glance I was afraid to see it because of it's premise entails in the trailer yet I dare to see it alone I'm amuse how tolerable it translate to the screen! and not disturbing:) Toni Collette is the face of fear as she scream on the top of her lungs in most of the images online as her performance radiate genuine emotion that often terrifies the living and the dead:) Alex Wolff is the other breakout star in this wild terror feast as he cries like a baby often funny and must deal with into the full emotional weight of this family’s breakdowns and dysfunctions!!

Movie News: ‘Hereditary’ Isn’t The Scariest Film Ever, But It’s Definitely One Of The Most Horrifying. When it premiered at Sundance a few months ago, Hereditary was hailed as the scariest film ever. This is not true. Hereditary isn’t scary, it’s horrifying. It draws a sharp line between those two sensations, making “scary” and “terrifying” sound like very inadequate descriptors. I spent a day steeling myself for jump scares, tension, the adrenaline rush of a good horror film. Instead, I encountered a very different kind of film, one that swapped adrenaline for a kind of gnawing queasiness and sense of bleak dread that hung around for hours after leaving the cinema. This was horror stripped back to its basic dictionary definition, “an intense feeling of fear, shock, or disgust”. Content: discussion of mental illness and suicide!

Plot: The Nurse is the manager of Hotel Artemis, an exclusive members-only hospital that treats wounded criminals. One night, a legendary crime boss seeks help from The Nurse in her hospital which results into a violent clash with the other criminals. Now, the safest place for criminals has become the most dangerous into world.

My Movie Review: The movie is full of aspirations love the create world until it ran out supply:( Hotel Artemis comes out as exclusive for members only so it felt such privilege to check-in and enter the secret facility for criminals as soon the intensity builds it was shutdown such boomer!! Charlie Day is the big surprise his role was mysterious and unexpected at the same time kept his fun silly personality intact this is such a departure for him but carry the swag very effective:) Sterling K. Brown is a fresh face in the big screen this man fit the bill to be the next action hero but his physicality was not into used as he got wounded let the lady in red do most of the work. The last act was not in my favor don't want to check-out wish to see the next hotel his heading.

More Description: In 2028, a big riot is spreading in Los Angeles. The privatization of water companies has led to a violent revolt and crime is on the up, need for Hotel Artemis. There's guests: Acapulco (Charlie Day), obnoxious arms dealer, Nice (Sofia Boutella), glamorous lethal assassin and brothers Waikiki (Sterling K Brown) and Honolulu (Brian Tyree Henry), on the lam after a bank heist gone wrong. As tensions in the group reach boiling point, they’re joined by two surprise visitors guaranteed to make things even worse: a figure from the Nurse’s past (Jenny Slate) and then the city’s biggest crime boss (Jeff Goldblum). As the riot edges closer too, the ragtag group begin to test the Nurse’s No 1 rule: guests should never kill other guests!!

TRAVEL TO MOVIES: ESCAPE PLAN 2: HADES

Director: Steven C. Miller
Cast: Sylvester Stallone , Dave Bautista , Jaime King , 50 Cent , Jesse Metcalfe , Lydia Hull , Wes Chatham , Xiaoming Huang , Tyron Woodley , Pete Wentz , Jamie Eddy , Vincent Young
Plot: Ray Breslin [Academy Award (R) nominee Sylvester Stallone (Best Supporting Actor - Motion Picture, Creed, 2016)] fought his way out of the escape-proof prison called "The Tomb," he's organized a new top-notch, for-hire security force. But when one of his team members goes missing inside a computerized techno-terror battle-maze known as HADES, Breslin together with Trent DeRosa (Dave Bautista, Guardians of the Galaxy) must decipher a way to break into the world's best hidden prison release their kidnapped team and to make it out alive.

My Movie Review: The movie is like a two flavored pizza you got to taste both mix in one box! Escape Plan 2: Hades is far different from the first movie cause it's about rescuing one of his trusted operatives rather than escaping high-tech prison for his sake not bad as the critics said. Xiaoming Huang is the right partner to get the credit the story revolves most of him rather than Dave Bautista got billed as one of the lead star appear only in the film for less than 30 minutes! there is a shock value at first when I didn't expect troops firing gun to a group of security with Asian actors that I find creative I have no idea they pop off in since the first is mostly American. This sequel is getting there unfortunately just left us hanging stuck in a high-tech prison Hades!

Movie News: The direct-to-streaming sequel Escape Plan 2: Hades comes without Arnold, or anyone else of note from the original besides Stallone’s Breslin, 50 Cent is back as hacker sidekick Hush and tried to insert Jamie King into the role played by Amy Ryan in the first movie without anyone noticing. The posters for Escape Plan 2 promise a showdown between Sly and Dave Bautista but it’s a classic bait-and-switch: some viewers may feel conned as they watch Stallone spend most of the film in Atlanta office while Bautista shows up halfway through in a minor supporting role. Instead primarily vehicle for Chinese star Xiaoming Huang as Shu Ren, a protege of Breslin who finds himself in the Hades prison and must fight and think his way out.

TRAVEL TO MOVIES: OCEAN'S EIGHT

Director: Gary Ross
Cast: Sandra Bullock ,  Cate Blanchett , Anne Hathaway , Helena Bonham Carter , Rihanna , Richard Armitage , Mindy Kaling , Sarah Paulson , Damian Lewis , Awkwafina , James Corden
Plot: Five years, eight months, 12 days and counting that's how long Debbie Ocean has been devising the biggest heist of her life. She knows what it's going to take -- a team of the best people in the field, starting with her partner-in-crime Lou Miller. Together, they recruit a crew of specialists, including jeweler Amita, street con Constance, suburban mom Tammy, hacker Nine Ball, and fashion designer Rose. Their target -- a necklace that's worth more than $150 million.

My Movie Review: The movie is best dressed heist captivate in glamour bit less action to bite! Ocean's 8 is worthy of rooting for if you're looking fancy female fun or weekend time to spare in but that super heist you're looking this is not believable as more than one jewelry was robbed:( Some viewers may fall on that but most of us are smarter now we deserved to see much more! The all-girl gang was amazing in what they do best this was supposed to be fun and it was yet too slow in the main act that it bored us when it got there turn heads fascinate in The Met Gala! Anne Hathaway is the best actress to put the icing on the cake as this turn into delicious takes she appears to be lavish funny celebrity soon to join the heist that no one saw coming brilliant:)

Movie News: Ocean's 8 stars blame dominance of male critics for film's mixed reviews! Mindy Kaling and Cate Blanchett echo Brie Larson in calling for greater diversity among reviewers. Stars of Ocean’s 8, have accused male critics of failing to appreciate their film. Speaking to Yahoo Movies, Mindy Kaling called the dominance of white male reviewers “unfair”. “If I had to base my career on what white men wanted I would be very unsuccessful, so there is obviously an audience out there who want to watch things like [Ocean’s 8], what I work on, what Sarah [Paulson] works on.” Co-star Cate Blanchett concurred, saying the media had failed to make the mindshift the movie industry had when it came to gender equality. “The conversation has to change,” she said, “and the media has a huge responsibility.” There's pro's-con's in this movie!

They soon encounter terrifying new breeds of gigantic dinos while uncovering a conspiracy that threatens the entire planet.

My Movie Review: The movie is twisted pick-up in where it let off looks more in less package:) Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom comes with bigger as the trailer suggest full of dinosaurs run in the island from volcano that about to erupt as the smoke spread and explosive lava caught up!! Love their slogan life finds a way as indeed show off when the dinosaurs transfer to a mansion with big capacity to fit them all for them to be auction as rich people bid for them that so clever! This franchise is evolving when it's going out to the park find a new venue to scare as all house that less spacious than the outdoor but provide more exciting visual that capture such intensity.

TRAVEL TO PLACES: SINGAPORE-- SUPERTREE GROVE

My Personal Experience: I went to the Bay South Supertree Grove this year May 1, 2018, together with my sister. We went there to take a peak to the other side of Gardens By The Bay. Supertree Grove is not new in my sight from at far but this is first we really went in some areas and capturing myself with the supertree is the sole purpose of our visit in Bay South Gardens(:)

Supertree Grove
Of the 18 Supertrees in Gardens by the Bay, 12 of them can be found here at Supertree Grove, with the tallest one measuring up to 16 storeys in height. Make a trip to the top of one of these iconic Supertrees and be awed by splendid views of the Gardens and the surrounding Marina Bay. Stroll along the 22-metre-high OCBC Skyway, 128-metre aerial walkway connects two of the Supertrees and Gardens from a different point of view. Measuring between 25 and 50 metres tall, these iconic tree-like vertical gardens are designed with large canopies that provide shade in all day and come alive with an exhilarating display of light and sound at night!

TRAVEL TO MOVIES: SOLO: A STAR WARS STORY

Director: Ron Howard
Cast: Alden Ehrenreich , Donald Glover , Emilia Clarke , Woody Harrelson , Thandie Newton , Paul Bettany , Phoebe Waller-Bridge , Joonas Suotamo , Warwick Davis , Ian Kenny , John Tui
Plot: Young Han Solo finds adventure when he joins a gang of galactic smugglers, including a 196-year-old Wookie named Chewbacca. Indebted to the gangster Dryden Vos, the crew devises a daring plan to travel to the mining planet Kessel to steal a batch of valuable coaxium. In need of a fast ship, Solo meets Lando Calrissian, the suave owner of the perfect vessel for the dangerous mission -- the Millennium Falcon.

My Movie Review: The movie is amazing well-shot action adventure that's too cool for school. Solo: A Star Wars Story is surprise act comes out as summer's untimely retelling of how things began in Han Solo's quest in finding his mission and love as he gains friendship and enemies. Sometimes we don't know what we need until it comes at first this comes as unnecessary spin-off but this one turn into essential when it capture the heart and show worthy fight sequences:) Too shame it didn't meet box office predictions as less people show up in this over the top film that many deserve to see for the colorful characters that often excites and serve their purpose!

More Description: Satisfying, action-packed prequel explores Han's roots. Solo: A Star Wars Story is a stand-alone adventure about a young Han Solo (Alden Ehrenreich) that takes place several years before he teams up with Luke and Leia in Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope. Expect lots of peril, chases, and action violence, including scenes of large-scale ground warfare as well as executions, shoot-outs, and torture. Han definitely isn't always first in line to make the morally right choice, but ultimately the movie has messages about equal rights for all creatures and the importance of teamwork, communication, courage, and friendship. The cast have diverse female roles, people of color and creatures have distinct backgrounds and ideas:)
