TRAVEL TO MOVIES: JUMANJI: THE NEXT LEVEL

Director: Jake Kasdan
Cast: Dwayne Johnson , Jack Black , Kevin Hart , Karen Gillan , Alex Wolff , Ser'Darius Blain , Madison Iseman , Morgan Turner , Nick Jonas , Awkwafina , John Ross Bowie , Danny DeVito
Plot: In Jumanji: The Next Level, the gang is back but the game has changed. As they return to Jumanji to rescue one of their own, they discover that nothing is as they expect. The players will have to brave parts unknown and unexplored, from the arid deserts to the snowy mountains, in order to escape the world's most dangerous game. When Spencer goes back into the fantastical world of Jumanji, pals Martha, Fridge and Bethany re-enter the game to bring him home. But the game is now broken -- and fighting back. Everything the friends know about Jumanji is about to change, as they soon discover there's more obstacles and more danger to overcome.

My Movie Review: The movie is retread fun adventure that steps up to put loose ends perfect! Jumanji: The Next Level is keeping up its game with new twists on players set in familiar yet tricky territory and a little bit history to set a goal surely you'll laugh or be entertain as it goes on as well in following the teens in their journey through there's a certain realness about that I like! The upbeat installment of the video game sequel starts when Spencer went back to Jumanji feeling down and want to bring back a sense of pride when they first played with their avatar as his found friends come to rescue him and come back to the game but instead of Bethany those upstairs Milo and Grandpa Eddie were sucked into the game together with Fridge and Martha:) The mayhem begins with the ostrich run in the dessert, angry monkey on the hanging bridges, then into the wild west following the fire and cold winter in the mountain as a kingdom sit uphill into the clouds as flying horse caught me off guard yet the game isn't over as last clip suggest:)

Critics Consensus: Like many classic games, Jumanji: The Next Level retains components of what came before while adding enough fresh bits to keep things playable. It's funny and diverting and it's even found accommodation for the elderly. Thoughtful, that, in a family film. Part of the greatness of the film is the fact that the actors seem to be enjoying themselves so thoroughly. A very hard-working film, so much so that it seems to be driven partly by an anxious desire to prove itself capable of matching its predecessor. Ignore this if you can, for it's such a satisfyingly wild ride that its flaws can be forgiven. This up-for-anything sequel to the reboot brings back the A-list cast Jack Black is still MVP for more in-game avatar shenanigans! The oddball avatar schtick remains remarkably fresh and receives added jolt once Awkwafina trots out her best Danny DeVito impression. Jumanji: The Next Level is a sequel that respects the success of its predecessor; the replay value is high with this game and it steps up for sure:)

TRAVEL TO MOVIES: KNIVES OUT

Director: Rian Johnson
Cast: Daniel Craig , Chris Evans , Ana de Armas , Jamie Lee Curtis , Christopher Plummer , Don Johnson , Toni Collette , Michael Shannon , Katherine Langford , Frank Oz , Noah Segan , Riki Lindhome , Jaeden Martell , LaKeith Stanfield , Raúl Castillo , Edi Patterson , Ben Bunnag
Plot: Acclaimed writer and director Rian Johnson (Brick, Looper, Star Wars: The Last Jedi) pays tribute to mystery mastermind Agatha Christie in Knives Out, a fun, modern-day murder mystery where everyone is a suspect. When renowned crime novelist Harlan Thrombey (Christopher Plummer) is found dead at his estate just after his 85th birthday, the inquisitive and debonair Detective Benoit Blanc (Daniel Craig) is mysteriously enlisted to investigate. From Harlan's dysfunctional family to his devoted staff, Blanc sifts through a web of red herrings and self-serving lies to uncover the truth behind Harlan's untimely death. With an all-star ensemble cast including Chris Evans, Ana de Armas, Jamie Lee Curtis, Toni Collette, Don Johnson, Michael Shannon, LaKeith Stanfield, Katherine Langford and Jaeden Martell, Knives Out is all witty and stylish whodunit guaranteed to keep audiences guessing until the very end:)

My Movie Review: This movie elevates the anticipation to this year whodunit murder mystery:) Knives Out is good example of the higher stakes- the higher reward the risk of having many A-list actors in a movie can be too overwhelming in here they complement and bring out the best in each other creating pretty convincing characters that fun to watch and full of poise sarcasm:) Rian Johnson is creating a classic giving us one of most entertaining film in years a mystery that make us think with all the possible suspect the twist gets meaty as he gaslight us when most have motive and giving unexpected result that satisfy film enthusiast and casual viewers:) Daniel Craig, Chris Evans, Ana de Armas are this film standout stealing and shifting focus to their character with the right reason while others give power-packed role with less appearance- Jamie Lee Curtis, Don Johnson, Toni Collette, Michael Shannon did great into supporting role:) Katherine Langford, Jaeden Martell didn't shine as the rest of the cast did their unnoticeable the film would work even without them guess there's just add sauce to perfect marinated beef:)

Critics Consensus: Knives Out sharpens old murder-mystery tropes with a keenly assembled suspense outing that makes brilliant use of writer-director Rian Johnson's stellar ensemble. "Knives Out," in the end, believes earnestly in the whodunit, it just wants to turn it inside out. To say more about that would spoil the fun. But keep an eye on de Armas. Knives Out deserves to be explored as a world of it own, as Johnson balances moral conscience and black humor expertly within the constraints of the murder-mystery genre. There's a great deal of lively funny shenanigans with poisons and antidotes, Johnson delivers a stab of cheerful cynicism. An entertainment that's as smart, witty, stylish and exhilarating as any movie lover could wish for. I suspect that Johnson, an adolescent genre enthusiast to his core, has waited since age 10 to make movie like this. His enjoyment is contagious, even for those of us who don't think Knives Out quite hits its marks. Knives Out is a whole lot of fun, intended to keep the audience off-balance right up until the finish. It's a razor-sharp throwback from writer-director Rian Johnson!!

TRAVEL TO PLACES: PHILIPPINES-- TAAL VOLCANO

My Personal Experience: I went near to Taal Volcano in Tagaytay this year August 11, 2019, together with my brother, sister and her husband. We went there to see the view up-close while sipping cold coffee and eating pastries. Starbucks Domicillo has a perfect balcony to see parts of Taal Volcano even in a hazy weather like we saw I still enjoy this cozy one of a kind wonder:)

Taal Volcano
Taal Volcano is a complex volcano located on the island of Luzon in the Philippines. It is the second most active volcano in the Philippines with 33 historical eruptions. All of eruptions are concentrated on Volcano Island, an island near the middle of Taal Lake. The lake partially fills Taal Caldera, which was formed by prehistoric eruptions between 140,000/5,380 BP. Viewed from the Tagaytay Ridge in Cavite, Taal Volcano and its Lake presents one of the most picturesque and attractive views in the Philippines. Because of its proximity to populated areas and its eruptive history, the volcano was designated a Decade Volcano, worthy of close study to prevent future natural disasters. Volcanoes of the Philippines are part of Pacific Ring Of Fire!

TRAVEL TO MOVIES: 21 BRIDGES

Director: Brian Kirk
Cast: Chadwick Boseman , Sienna Miller , Stephan James , Taylor Kitsch , J.K. Simmons , Keith David , Gary Carr , Jamie Neumann , Louis Cancelmi , Morocco Omari , Katie McClellan
Plot: Thrust into a citywide manhunt for a duo of cop killers, NYPD detective Andre Davis begins to uncover a massive conspiracy that links his fellow police officers to a criminal empire and must decide who he is hunting and who is actually hunting him. During the manhunt, Manhattan is completely locked down for the first time in its history no exit or entry to the island including all 21 bridges.

My Movie Review: The movie is fast paced action thriller that blows over in slow burn set-up:) 21 Bridges is far from perfect but deliver grand in a small scale pond of cops who follow police procedural throwback giving us pulpy sturdy thriller to follow though a bit predictable it satisfy the action genre fans given a short amount of time just wish it expand few areas for big impact! Chadwick Boseman is proven to be a bonifide leading man as he command attention when on big screen nobody outshine him given there's few actors who sure deliver strong performance:) He battles his way through an investigation that leads him to uncover unsettling things to get to the truth behind a brutal attack on Brooklyn officers that become a showdown within workforce! Brian Kirk's direction is excellent keeping the film constantly moving and mobile resulting in over the top action sequence and great pacing-make the viewers tune-in and wanting for more!

Critics Consensus: 21 Bridges covers its beat competently enough, but given its impressive cast, this cop thriller should be more arresting than it is. There are topical moments here as the film toys with public perceptions of US police brutality. And Boseman proves, yet again, to be an easy leading man whose default setting is somewhere between smouldering interiority and outright charm. It's the kind of role Gary Cooper used to play, albeit in a dusty Western town rather than gritty New York. A high-concept thriller with a ticking clock and a killer premise, though it doesn't totally deliver on that promise. One of the most entertaining and thoughtful American policiers in recent memory. Boseman stands out per usual and finds a way to elevate the material- in this case fairly standard cop movie. A solid even enjoyable cop movie precisely that sort of instantly-forgettable thriller that one used to stumble' upon on a late-night television!
