TRAVEL TO MOVIES: ANNE+ THE FILM
Director: Valerie Bisscheroux
Cast: Hanna Van Vliet , Jouman Fattal , Jade Olieberg , Eline Van Gils , Anne-Chris Schulting , Jesse Mensah , Thorn de Vries , Huib Cluistra , Ayla Satijn , Romana Vrede , Jacqueline Blom
Plot: Under pressure to finish her novel and move to Montreal for her relationship, a 20-something lesbian in Amsterdam searches for what she wants in life.
My Movie Review: The movie is surprisingly good and very personal it's a touching tale of young queer love and the complications that come along with it, very casual feel to the movie, feels like watching people you may know, exceeds my expectation thought quite a hidden gem! Anne+ The Film is provocative doesn’t shy away from sexy stuff, presenting us with intimate, tender sex scenes for our leading lady and a relaxed attitude towards the nudity as one whole:) I found the movie incredibly well acted and way too close to home whether your queer or not, never seen anything so close to our lives on film before that moves seemlessly it is absolutely amazing cause it's funny, it's heartwarming, the story never goes bad even there's ocstacle! Anne is a cool funny beautiful character, the production quality is pretty good, the soundtrack is nothing wild and the writing, at some times lack but good visuals make up for it as long as the characters worked and the plot was sometimes too chill as I would recommend this to anyone:) If you haven’t seen the series that preceded Anne+: The Film, you’ll still be able to jump right in; the film does a nice job at recapping and also tosses in some flashbacks for good measure! The young ensemble helps to bring this version of Amsterdam to life, so natural and effortless that some of film feels documentary-like. Coming-of-age stories often get caught up with the teen years, but there’s a whole different coming-of-age that happens in your twenties, and Anne+: The Film sums it up perfectly. There might not particularly thrilling or monumental that occurs in Anne+: The Film, but it feels real, a chapter from one young woman’s story that many of us can relate, whether we’ve walked down all the same paths or not' it's presented in truths:)
Critics Reviews: I’m perfectly satisfied with Anne+: The Film goes. It has a fun time, great characters and relationships, some of the most explicit sex scenes in a feature film, and so much for going for it.You might enjoy Anne’s company for ninety minutes, but she’ll be like an acquaintance you make on a plane; fine to pass the time, but you’ll forget their existence by the time you’ve picked up your bags. If you’re looking for a movie that feels like the experience of hanging out at A-Camp, Anne+ is for you. One Audience Review: I sincerely don't think there is a better made queer/lgbt film than this one! You can tell that the cast is familiar in and with the scene so all the messages really come across and make for a realistic portrayal. I'll agree! Things are changing quickly for the lead Anne (Hanna Van Vliet), the twenty-something living in Amsterdam and putting all her energy into writing a book. Her girlfriend Sara (Jouman Fattal) moves to Montreal for a job and the two agree to open their relationship, though once Anne knows Sara is seeing someone else, she begins to feel a bit uneasy about it. Anne is set to join Sara in Montreal in just few months, but she’s plagued by second thoughts about it, wondering if it’s the right call to follow her overseas. Thorn Roos de Vries makes quite the impression as Lou, the nonbinary person Anne first sees performing as a drag king and forms a bit of a crush on. It’s hard to believe that Lou is the nonbinary character in a Dutch movie, but they feel right at home in the world of Anne+, that' thanks to Thorn de Vries’s natural, charming performance:)

TRAVEL TO MOVIES: INTO THE WIND
Director: Kristoffer Rus
Cast: Sonia Mietielica , Jakub Sasak , Waleria Gorobets , Sebastian Dela , Marcin Perchuc , Agnieszka Zulewska , Sonia Bohosiewicz , Grzegorz Malecki , Marta Ojrzynska , Jakub Kuzia
Plot: Waves, sunshine and passion await when a privileged teenage girl experiences first love with a free-spirited kite-surfing instructor at a seaside resort.
My Movie Review: The movie is a very beautiful art with picturesque shots that's refreshing to see it's about the emotional states of people after the loss of a loved one or the fear of being oneself, of seeing oneself as one is but so nice to see Polish seaside from the point of view of kitesurfing enthusiasts like Michal who looks good doing it such vibe, cool breezy kind of guy:) Another good thing is that Ania the main character is rather average looking girl with fish eyes but a bit of musical talent it's making the scenes more loving and warm in a cold night or a day! Into The Wind is no rush and take slow there's a moonlight chemistry of being blue calling that there's more to life we'll have to enjoy I love how relax it is free flowing and free spririted like anything goes you doesn't anticipate on what's to come but living in the moment as it come' up! It's like you ask for a light but we've started a wildfire a beautiful love story with good actors that a run mile, lost in feeling but give us time to breath the air and feel the blue waves breeze:) I love the freedom this film has it really wants to tell something doesn't need lines because it's all in the expression of the actors, the play of silences is simply magnificent to understand and for the interlocutor like it's in real life very natural sometimes we speak through our eyes/brows!
Critics Reviews: Into the Wind is fine, but by being so clearly a homage to a beloved and iconic film and missing the mark on nearly every element of what made the original special, it, unfortunately, has little wind beneath its wings. In all, this is a movie that never needed to exist, but its existence doesn't hurt anyone. There's real chemistry here, so its a shame there isn't much of a movie. Into the Wind is a light watch that doesn't have a lot of innovation but is still warm and fun. Into the Wind, a 2022 Polish romance, is a gentle story about a rich, sad girl who falls for a handsome windsurfing instructor at the luxury resort. It actually juggles themes of grief, identity, and mental health quite gracefully, painting its characters and their pain with careful detail. Into the Wind, like so many of the international, youthful romances that hit Netflix, takes its time with the story it tells. There aren’t really any frills, or any attempts to reinvent the wheel, but it works anyway. There's a dreamy, warm quality to the film, a sincerity that resonates even when some scenes outstay their welcome or feel a little unnecessary. But the chemistry between Sonia Mietielica and Jakub Sasak is electric; it’s impossible to look away from these two. Into the Wind‘s setting does a lot to help make the film feel as dreamy as it does, but it’s these young lovers who make it sing. Into the Wind might be a slow burn and a tad overlong, but has a mesmerizing quality to it, and the performances feel grounded and real!
