She has just about given up on her dream to make it big as a singer until Jackson coaxes her into the spotlight. But even as Ally's career takes off, the personal side of their relationship breaking down, Jackson finds it harder to handle losing the glory with his own internal demons!

My Movie Review: The movie is a roller coaster of emotions it will get you to the high and low! A Star Is Born gave me goosebumps every time the trailer come up the songs will struck you like a lightning straight to the heart each represent a strong resilience and captivating backdrop as you see the movie unfold can't help yourself to be excited turns out it's nothing you expect:() Lady Gaga is raw and tender she has a strong phenomenal presence her appearance alone can speak to you with a voice that can reach beyond hearing it will open up your other senses!! Bradley Cooper is a fine actor in here you'll see different side of him vulnerable talented music star that goes on tour that found a love but lost himself in the process to the point it's madness! As a director his a revelation giving you splendid performance that can launch a soundtrack so good you want to continue then kick you in the guts with dark tail in stardom with the cold truth that will shock and disguise I don't agree with the outcome but leave such a lasting impression!

Movie Facts: The concept behind A Star Is Born is the stuff of scientific mythology: For one star to be born, another must flame out. The world has a ceiling on its potential star count. Whether or not that’s true, Hollywood located in the City of Stars finds the metaphor alluring. The latest version of A Star Is Born, directed by and starring Bradley Cooper alongside Stefani Germanotta ( Lady Gaga), is now the fourth movie to bear both the title and plot about one star rising while another dims. The first one came out in 1937, focusing on an aspiring starlet (Janet Gaynor) and an established actor (Fredric March) whose alcoholism is causing his own career to plummet. The film was remade in 1954 with Judy Garland and James Mason, then again in 1976, this time set in the world of music stars Barbra Streisand and Kris Kristofferson. Differing cinematic sensibilities due to the era aside the concept remains the same with original movie:()

TRAVEL TO PLACES: PHILIPPINES-- BUFFALO'S WINGS N' THINGS

My Personal Experience: I went to Buffalo's Wings N' Things this year September 7, 2018, together with my big sister. We went there to grab a quick lunch since my sister was in a hurry!! That time she has a meeting after her lunch break since she's work from home we decide to go the nearest part of the mall to make some time and luckily we found this food stop for fast bite:)

Buffalo's Wings N' Things
Their claim of "Voted Best Wings" in Buffalo, New York, of course has truth in it. The story is, one of the owners joined a recipe contest and submitted a recipe for buffalo wings. Lo and behold, it was chosen as the winner, and so fast forward to today, with little tweaking here and there, the recipe lands in Pasig City straight into the hands of Chef and Wingman, Sonny Ong. If you trace the history (or legend) of buffalo wings anyway, it goes back to some bar in Buffalo, New York, created by the owners wanting to serve patrons some food and drinks late at night:)

TRAVEL TO MOVIES: HELL FEST

Director: Gregory Plotkin
Cast: Amy Forsyth , Reign Edwards , Bex Taylor-Klaus , Courtney Dietz , Christian James , Matt Mercurio , Michael Tourek , Tony Todd , Elle Graham , Roby Attal , Mason Pike , Rio Ahn
Plot: A masked serial killer turns a horror themed amusement park into his own personal playground, terrorizing a group of friends while the rest of the patrons believe that it is all part of the show. College student Natalie (Forsyth) is visiting her childhood best friend Brooke (Edwards) and roommate Taylor (Taylor-Klaus). It's Halloween which means that like everyone else they will be bound for Hell Fest - a sprawling labyrinth of rides, games, and mazes that travels the country and happens to be in town. As the body count and frenzied excitement of the crowds continues to rise, he turns his masked face to Natalie, Brooke, Taylor and their boyfriends who will fight to survive the night.

My Movie Review: The movie is appetizing slasher film that's like a chewing gum full of flavor as you chew with impressive set design and decent scare but the last chew no more flavor left! Hell Fest comes as this stylish theme park movie with such fun and exciting ride to offer yet it come out predictable when scaring the fault is masked serial killer shown before the big scare:( The shock value was gone until it struck fear when you don't know what to happen towards the middle when the masked children comes in we saw a glimpse of freshness and few originality:) One bad point I notice weak supporting characters once they got attack instantly killed without a fight and the two lead that survive comes just another victim with nothing special to shown!! After the attack masked serial killer goes home remove the mask and show more to be worn as child woke up called him daddy show murders can walk among us clever to steal the show:)

Movie News: The editor of 'Get Out' helms a dull slasher flick set during a horror-themed carnival. Halloween the one time of year when even the stuffiest among us can let out our inner monster. But some people are more prone to demonic behavior than others. Take the hoodie-sporting, fright-mask-wearing whistling cutthroat Stephen Conroy, his real face never shown at the center of the lackluster Hell Fest. He has a habit of stalking and stabbing teens each All Hallows Eve. One unlucky gal get off before the opening credits have finished rolling: She's hung, bloodied and battered among the plastic prop bodies in an amusement park haunted house, only to discover three days later when her corpse starts stinking up the place:0

TRAVEL TO PLACES: PHILIPPINES-- BROTHERS BURGER

My Personal Experience: I went to Brothers Burger this August 25, 2018, together with my best friend. We went there to taste the new and improve version of Brothers Burger in Trinoma! We tried their burger, rice meal and sides like Cajun Chicken, Ranchero Burger, Onion Rings and Sour Cream Fries- the food is good expect the not so hot fries and not so cold lemonade:()

Brothers Burger
The old burger look was out no more color blue and you don't have to feel the blues- Brothers Burger goes green and now serves affordable food more than just burgers. With their color change comes a menu upgrade: Brothers Burger, one of Manila's long-standing burger brands that been serving us pure prime beef burgers since 1999, has turned green. The three Jose brothers behind this burger venture happen to be La Sallians (that also happen to be in love with the color green) and so the BGC branch is the first one that sports the new color scheme:)

TRAVEL TO MOVIES: VENOM

Director: Ruben Fleischer
Cast: Tom Hardy , Michelle Williams , Riz Ahmed , Woody Harrelson , Scott Haze , Reid Scott
Plot: Journalist Eddie Brock is trying to take down Carlton Drake, the notorious and brilliant founder of the Life Foundation. While investigating one of Drake's experiments, Eddie's body merges with the alien Venom-- leaving him with superhuman strength and power. Twisted, dark and fueled by rage, Venom tries to control the new and dangerous abilities that Eddie finds so intoxicating. Tom Hardy stars in the lead role in this "Spider-Man" spinoff, which focuses on the titular anti-hero, Venom.

My Movie Review: The movie is bizarre and exotic good in being bad its hilarious and fun-felt! Venom is extreme in visuals you can't take your eyes on it very entertaining you won't notice time cause your enjoying despite plot holes, rip-off or a mess, critics are saying still fascinating! Tom Hardy is quite weird yet that's the best thing about him I guess like guys with bad accent you don't understand some of his saying but I like to hear love his inner argument with Venom:) Riz Ahmed is unusual for a villain I thought his weak yet somehow unique his one dimension view on humans and alien symbiote mix maybe old school but turns out enough in this spin-off! Spider-Man absence open a door to see what's Venom is all about and kinda like it maybe it's not bad after all it depend on how a man use Venom it's nice to see your dark side sometimes:)

Opposite Review: This mess of a Marvel Super-Villain Movie bites not even Tom Hardy can save this attempt to combine a dark super-antihero story and ‘Deadpool’-style shenanigans. In the first scene of Marvel’s utterly unmarvelous Venom, an alien space ship crashes and burns on earth leaving behind slithering mass of defanged, digitalized slop. That’s fair description of this puddle of simplistic, sanitized PG-13 drivel that Marvel has released instead of the scary, dark-night-of-the-soul thunderbolt fans had the right to expect. Tom Hardy and a massively overqualified cast Michelle Williams and Riz Ahmed, have reduced to putting on a clown-show for kiddies in a shameless corporate product where the creativity stops with the balance sheet!!

TRAVEL TO MOVIES: THE HOUSE WITH A CLOCK IN ITS WALLS

Director: Eli Roth
Cast: Cate Blanchett , Jack Black , Owen Vaccaro , Lorenza Izzo , Renée Elise Goldsberry , Colleen Camp , Sunny Suljic , Kyle MacLachlan , Perla Middleton , Ricky Muse , Alli Beckman
Plot: 10-year-old Lewis Barnavelt is sent to Michigan live with his uncle, Jonathan Barnavelt, after the loss of his parents. Lewis discovers his uncle is a warlock and follows him into the world of sorcery and magic. Meanwhile, evil wizard Isaac Izard aims to bring the Apocalypse upon the world by creating a magical clock filled with black magic. Before his passing, he manages to hide it inside the walls of the house Jonathan currently lives in. Now Lewis and his uncle must find the clock and stop the end of the world.

My Movie Review: The movie is spooky fun and weird at times packed with good visual treats! The House With A Clock In Its Walls felt like a family quest appetizer for the coming Halloween orange pumpkins, mysterious manikins and lot of things coming alive in creep hunted house:(): This movie is not bad but not great either it falls under a kid frighten horror fantasy that meet good expectations yet didn't offer more than you bargain for and doesn't live up its full potential the flaws here are limited locations and lost focus in the villain's wife she's gone without a fight! Owen Vaccaro is the saving grace his portrayal of Lewis was spot-on his expressions when scared often believable and sometimes relatable the way a child's mind work is still a mystery what more if the child knows magic and spells it could be a thrill to know what's gonna happen!

Critics Consensus: An entertaining PG detour for gore maestro Eli Roth, The House with a Clock in Its Walls is a family-friendly blend of humor and horror with infectious sense of fun. A fantastical adventure, dandy ode to weirdos, and accessible anti-war allegory for all ages, especially 10-year-old boys. It runs out of steam at about the midway point and falls victim to clumsy, overcooked plotting. It's fun for a while until it becomes more trick than treat. The House With a Clock in its Walls is a bullseye, perfectly balanced between funny and scary. The short-term excitement of jump-scares and readily accessible spells are a poor trade-off for the steadily deepening mysteries and fears that have made Bellairs' book such a enduring classic:)
