TRAVEL TO PLACES: PHILIPPINES-- SECOND SAMGY NIGHT

My Personal Experience: I went to have a Second Samgy Night last year August 23, 2020, together with our neighbor in the province. Since its the second time they invite me I offered to help in cooking the meats! I'm the alternate grill boy that night once the one how grill got tired I'm the one who cook few mini hotdogs, slice onions and bacon strips, its a blast I had fun time!

Second Samgy Night
Directly translated from Korean, samgyeop-sal (삼겹살) means "three layer flesh," referring to striations of lean meat and fat in the pork belly that appear as three layers when cut. Preparation: Thick, fatty slices of pork belly, sometimes with the skin left on and sometimes scored on the diagonal, are grilled on a slanted metal griddle or a gridiron at the diners' table, inset with charcoal grills or convex gas burners. Usually, diners grill the meat themselves, flipping and cutting them with tongs and scissors, and eat directly from the grill. Consumption: Grilled meat is placed on fresh and/or pickled leaves of vegetables, with some ssamjang, and rolled up to make wrap which is eaten in one mouthful. Any combination of accompaniments mentioned above can be add to the roll according to preference, most popularly its slice garlic:)

TRAVEL TO MOVIES: A BABYSITTER'S GUIDE TO MONSTER HUNTING

Director: Rachel Talalay
Cast: Tamara Smart , Oona Laurence , Tom Felton , Indya Moore , Cameron Bancroft , Ian Ho, Ty Consiglio , Alessio Scalzotto , Crystal Balint , Anisa Harris , Ricky He , Tamsen McDonough
Plot: Recruited by a secret society of babysitters, a high schooler battles the Boogeyman and his monsters when they nab the boy she's watching on Halloween.

My Movie Review: The movie is whimsical kid teen supernatural that doesn't scare much but amuse in visual effects there's something quirky on it could use more tricks to go with its treats! A Babysitter's Guide To Monster Hunting is fun experiment of ideas that exceed perception but limited in execution good start by the way caught my attention right away unfortunately towards the middle I got lost so scenes are just slipping away don't know if I lost focus or it turn out bad! Tamara Smart has a pleasing on-screen presence she plays a high school freshman named Kelly some calls her Monster Girl because of a story she's told about the scary creature who visited her in the night when she was a child at one night she babysits the angel-faced Ian Ho:) Oona Laurence looks great here love the hair color and the whole look in no time her tough girl Liz Lerue shows up on her scooter with her perky bob and an arsenal of smart-ass one-liners to help Liz as she explains' is part of a secret society of babysitters who hunt monsters so cool!

Critic Reviews: Gorgeously imagined settings, a great cast, and an exciting story that hits the exact sweet spot between funny-scary and scary-funny. It's hard to figure out exactly what Talalay and Co. are aiming for here. Babysitter's Guide is never truly scary but it's also never all that funny. The film often sinks beneath the weight of its viscous plot. However, it burbles and thrives in moments that rely on aesthetics over story... The film feels more programmed than imagined. A fantasy and adventure film with which the youngest will have an entertaining time and with some horny monster along the way. Like a lot of middling Netflix films, there's a cheap veneer that prevents any creative exploration of film's high-concept premise. Fantasy violence, brave teens in book-based monster tale.'A Babysitter's Guide to Monster Hunting' is introductory horror that never leans heavily into scares, but works within its zaniness thanks to a strong cast of all ages (especially Tom Felton). This Rachel Talalay-directed film makes for a perfect Halloween viewing and a way to introduce a young viewer to their first kinda horror film!

TRAVEL TO PLACES: CARBONARA ON DAD'S BIRTHDAY

My Personal Experience: I happened to have eat Carbonara on Dad's 70th Birthday last year August 18, 2020, together with my parents, brother's son and wife. We were excited to taste so we dine early the food mom ordered and prepared- fish fillet, tempura, beef caldereta, veggies! Carbonara is the star dish since the first time to taste it cook's version so creamy and delicious!

Carbonara On Dad's Birthday
Carbonara is an Italian pasta dish from Rome made with egg, hard cheese, cured pork, and black pepper. The dish arrived at its modern form, with its current name, in the middle of the 20th century. The cheese is usually Pecorino Romano, Parmigiano-Reggiano, or a combination of the two. Spaghetti is the most common pasta, but fettuccine, rigatoni, linguine, or bucatini are also used. Normally guanciale or pancetta are used for the meat component, but lardons of smoked bacon are a common substitute outside Italy. Some preparations have more sauce as therefore use of tubular-shaped pasta, such as penne, which is better' suited to holding sauce:)

TRAVEL TO MOVIES: HUBIE HALLOWEEN

Director: Steven Brill
Cast: Adam Sandler , Kevin James , Julie Bowen , Ray Liotta , Steve Buscemi , June Squibb , Rob Schneider , Maya Rudolph , Tim Meadows , Kelli Berglund , Peyton List , Michael Chiklis , Bradley Steven Perry , Karan Brar , Cameron Boyce , Noah Schnapp , Lance Lim , Ben Stiller
Plot: It's October 31st in Salem, Massachusetts, and a town's eccentric, devoted community volunteer and the good-natured object of his fellow citizen's derision and meanest pranks, finds himself in the midst of a real investigation, for a real murderer.

My Movie Review: The movie is pure, gross, goofy, extremely earnest harmless Halloween fun a worthy addition to Adam Sandler's comedy flicks its definitely more of a treat than a trick:) Hubie Halloween is actually pretty cool I didn't expect to be this good it's not a masterpiece but probably the most watchable of Sandler's Netflix films I love the vibe it brings light careless fun! I thought the movie was absolutely fantastic Adam Sandler played the role of Hubie Dubois very well no one can act like him. He played the role in the comedy family movie very well and As I'm not actual fan of Adam Sandler few films but I find to enjoy watching this one very much! In the role that he played, he showed reactions like flinching and I still don't know how but if you watch the movie again he dodges almost everything thrown at him. He had a kindhearted and loving person feel to everything he did. I think their thermos idea was absolutely incredible! I love the supporting cast and unexpected funny twist that's his mom was the villain silly but I get the point as the ending he finally gets to kiss and marry the girl love of his life so touching:0

Critics Consensus: Viewers immune to its star's charms won't find it much of a treat, Hubie Halloween is sweet enough to satisfy fans of Adam Sandler's antics. More unexpectedly, it's generally bearable - a light, sweet and nostalgic comedy that is pleasantly devoid of high stakes. "Hubie Halloween" is a seasonal goodie, and it's more treat than trick. Now this is a rare sight: a Happy Madison production that is not entirely terrible? It's nothing spectacular in terms of its story and execution, but it certainly provides some light humor against a nostalgic Halloween backdrop. Fresh because it's the first Adam Sandler movie in ages that didn't make me want to scoop my eyeballs out with a spoon. It's harmless but forgettable. Sandler is using the same bag of tricks he's been using for over 20 years, but it is better than most recent Happy Madison films. The Netflix movie is real not bad it tones down usual Sandler elements into some very harmlessly charming moments. And 'restrained' is really the word for it. None of this is particularly original though' as nobody said you had to be original to make people laugh:)

TRAVEL TO PLACES: PHILIPPINES-- WHITE RED VELVET CAKE

My Personal Experience: I happened to have White Red Velvet Cake last year July 15, 2020, together with my mom. To top it all off I received my birthday cake 5 days after my 27 birthday:) I have to say this pandemic and lockdown make us for more hungry to celebrate and long for the moments by making the most which results to my longest memorable birthday celebration!!

White Red Velvet Cake
White velvet cake is red velvet‘s pretty little sister. Red velvet cake has been around for ages and probably one of the most popular cake flavors of all time. But not everyone want’s to eat red food coloring or maybe they have special dietary requirements that don’t allow them to eat red food dye. Whatever the reason, options are always good. What is white velvet cake? White velvet cake is basically red velvet without the red. It’s a buttermilk cake base that results in a very soft, fluffy and moist cake. If you leave out all the color and the cocoa powder you have yourself a nice white velvet cake. Neat huh. The buttermilk gives this southern inspired cake it’s rich and velvety texture. Traditional Red velvet cake has little bit more of cocoa powder in it!

TRAVEL TO MOVIES: OLOTURE

Director: Kenneth Gyang
Cast: Sharon Ooja , Omowumi Dada , Ada Ameh , Omoni Oboli , Beverly Osu , Patrick Doyle , Blossom Chukwujekwu , Sambasa Nzeribe , Bukola Oladipupo , Daniel Effiong , Segun Arinze
Plot: A journalist goes undercover as a prostitute to expose but she only finds a world of exploited women and ruthless violence. Set in Nigeria, Oloture is the story of a young, naive Nigerian journalist who goes undercover to expose the shady underworld of human trafficking:(

My Movie Review: The movie is devastating portrait of misadventures in the world of human trafficking that's quite intimidating at first yet as it go on moving and relatable stories took place very effective performance and powerful in execution this one is really a diamond in the rough:) Oloture is not a kind of movie you usually see but if you monitor every new releases every month like me you may come across with this at the start of last October this worth your peak:0 This is really an excellent movie as it does not shy away from the realities of young black women in that country and poverty plays real big part why this happen and still happening now! Oloture is not just a film in some ways its a moment that reminds us to stay woke and make us think others sake you should know it isn’t for the faint of heart as it has moments that really shocking and the brutality is in high par so let this be a cautionary tale and consider being safe!

Movie News: The Good: Impressive cinematography. Given the movie’s theme it captures people and places in fitting surrealism so that the audience’s attention remains focused on the movie’s theme. There is no distracting glamour. Just gritty, sweaty and hard-hitting unglazed reality. Sharon Ooja impresses as the titular protagonist, an undercover journalist posing as a prostitute to investigate a sex trafficking cartel. Omoni Oboli also impresses as the Sex traffic Madam complete with a scowling attitude albeit almost ruined by her (and the movie’s) off-putting obsession with cigarettes. The Bad: The story was basic and uncomplicated such that it questions why it needed an undercover journalist investigating a sex traffic cartel to drive the storyline. Then, there was the implausible hint at a possible romance between Oloture and her editor which came off as rather lame. The Ugly: That scene of Patrick Doyle’s Sir Philip room raping a drugged Oloture, hands down, deserves to be AMVCA for Ugly Sex Face of the year:0
