Director: Harald Zwart
Cast: Jamie Campbell Bower, Jemima West, Jonathan Rhys Meyers, Kevin Zegers, Lena Headey, Lily Collins, Robert Sheehan
Plot: Based on the 2007 first book of "The Mortal Instruments" series by Cassandra Clare, after Clary Fray (Lily Collins) a seemingly ordinary teenager, witnesses a murder at a club, she finds out that her mother, Jocelyn, is attacked in their home in New York City and kidnapped by Valentine in his search of the Mortal Cup. She calls on a Shadow-hunter named Jace and his fellow Shadow-hunters, Alec and Isabelle Lightwood, to help her on her quest to rescue her mother and along the way finds out truths about her past and bloodline and becomes the person her mother feared she would become. Clary learns that Shadow-hunters are half-angel warriors and that she too has the powers of one. Clary then finds herself caught in a battle between forces she barely understands.

My Movie Review: The movie is mystical and mysterious makes it little bit confusing but as it goes along the story becomes clearer. The relationship of lead characters kept me guessing and intrigued. Are they really siblings or not? And who are real enemies? The movie features lots of visual effects and revelations that makes me want to watch more. Lily Collins fits the role, she gives interesting presence that is fresh, young and divine to Clary's character. Looking forward to watch what will happen to them in the next chapters.
My Favorite Item: The Mortal Cup
Also known as the Angel's Cup, was a cup from Angel Raziel. It is one of the Mortal Instruments given the Angel Raziel to Jonathan Shadowhunter, the first Shadowhunter.
