My Personal Experience: I went to Raffles Library & Museum last year August 8, 2015, together with my sister. We went there to see other side were most of tourist rarely visited. Raffles Library & Museum is now the National Museum of Singapore where most public gallery is extended outside place in random making this plain building with pop of surprise.
Raffles Library & Museum
The Raffles Library and Museum was opened to the public in September 3, 1874. It was originally housed at Victoria Memorial Hall before moving to its own dedicated museum building at Stamford Road in 1887. During WWII, the museum was renamed Syonan Museum. It reverted to its original name after the war ended. The museum separated from the library in 1960 and was renamed National Museum following independence in 1965. In Dec 2006 after 2-year of revamp we officially open as the National Museum of Singapore!
