Director: Steven S. DeKnight
Cast: John Boyega , Scott Eastwood , Rinko Kikuchi , Charlie Day , Tian Jing , Adria Arjona , Burn Gorman , Cailee Spaeny , Levi Meaden , Zhang Jin , Wesley Wong , Shyrley Rodriguez
Plot: A follow up film to Guillermo Del Toro's 2013 film "Pacific Rim", which will continue the story of mankind's battle against invading Kaiju from where it left off in the first movie. Jake Pentecost is a once-promising Jaeger pilot whose legendary father gave his life to secure humanity's victory against the monstrous Kaiju. Jake has since abandoned his training only to become caught up in a criminal underworld. But when an even more unstoppable threat is unleashed to tear through cities and bring the world to its knees, Jake is given one last chance by his estranged sister, Mako Mori, to live up to his father's legacy and joined by Nate Lambert.
My Movie Review: The movie is such amusement in the eyes some critics missing that point:( Pacific Rim: Uprising is not bad after all it adds new flavor may not have the best interpretation but still knows it's mission parameters the Kaiju invades Tokyo until the Jaegers fight to protect. If you're going to watch I advise that you should not have high expectation from the prequel so it wouldn't spoil the fun I like that the humans controlling the robots inside lousy ending though. Scott Eastwood take back seat didn't shine in this one were other actors took the spotlight like unexpected villain Charlie Day and John Boyega the lead actor both with their sense of humor! Look the tallest Jaegers in your face the best in the cinema that alone is worth the ticket price:)
More Description: “Pacific Rim Uprising” opens with Jake Pentecost fleeing a shady business deal and, in search of coveted technological goods, meeting teenage orphan Amara, who’s built herself a Jaeger from spare parts. And not just any old Jaeger: Amara’s DIY creation is a beetle-y ’bot that can be operated by a solo pilot, has the ability to roll itself into a ball, and is named Scrapper. At the Pan Pacific Defense Force’s Chinese headquarters, Jake is reunited with former partner Nate Lambert, together they're tasked with mentoring a group of cadets to become Jaeger pilots. Yet all is not well for these mature and adolescent heroes-to-be, since the Shao corporation led by Mrs. Shao and her right-hand man Newt, who’s gone from being a kaiju fanboy scientist to an R&D guy is prepping a line of Jaeger drones that can be controlled remotely, making Jake, Nate, Amara and his buddies one small step away from obsolescence!!
