TRAVEL TO MOVIES: PAPILLON

Director: Michael Noer
Cast: Charlie Hunnam , Rami Malek , Eve Hewson , Tommy Flanagan , Christopher Fairbank , Roland Møller , Nina Seničar , Michael Socha , Brian Vernel , Joel Basman , Fernanda Dinizia
Plot: Based on the best-selling autobiography of same name, the story follows Henri "Papillon" Charriere, a safecracker from the Parisian underworld. He is condemned to life in a South American prison after getting framed for murder. To regain freedom, he forms an alliance with counterfeiter to Louis Dega, who agrees to finance Papillon escape in exchange for protection!

My Movie Review: The movie is trying big to escape but got stuck in a routine prison direction! Papillon is pretty handsome at first sight as captured in the middle of the night caught the era of Moulin Rouge Cabarinet where glamour and style was showcase with a little bit chaos and romance there's harmony but the justice got twisted as a man was wrongly accused of murder! From then on it's all about prison time how it's tough to live in a facility with other men where you have to lookout for yourself and the person your ticket to way out or someone will cut you:( As the days go by you find friends or partner to execute the plan and as they were escaping it was a thrill to watch hoping that they will not be caught until they found boat in vast to the sea:) You got a sense of freedom but the force of nature turns on you making one of them eager to lose the dead weight forcing them to fight each other I think they made it when found by a tribe but I was wrong they were caught again in face of solidarity when most got insane break loose! Devil's Island for both of them this time were you can escape but the ocean will swallow you but they didn't give up make a flowing alternative to cross the ocean and it paid off one survive!

My Conclusion: Chalie Hunnam and Rami Malek did an awesome job here this fine actors take few bruise on they got to show an incredible tale of friendship and undying fighting spirit:) The one who stayed in the island take a noble act as he chose his friend's freedom over his thinking if they two went the ocean they may not make cause the float can easily take just one! That's what I think I may not agree with his decision but I salute him for doing so on the other hand the survival was bitter because they did not show the sweetness of the victory instead it take a leap off on fate and show someone that old trying to document the moments by writing:( Despite critics questioning why did they made a remake of this beloved 1973 classic because our generation deserve to see a inspirational story like this we have nothing to compare so I'll take chances with its faithful retelling as a pair of jail birds in this prison drama were captured in a time survival is tough earn we can learn strategies, test of friendship and value of freedom!

TRAVEL TO MOVIES: A SIMPLE FAVOR

Director: Paul Feig
Cast: Anna Kendrick , Blake Lively , Henry Golding , Linda Cardellini , Ian Ho , Eric Johnson , Andrew Rannells , Rupert Friend , Jean Smart , Sarah Baker , Gia Sandhu , Melody Johnson
Plot: Centers around Stephanie is a mommy vlogger and her best friend Emily is married to Sean. One day Emily goes missing without trace to uncover the mystery of her disappearance from their small town, Stephanie and Sean team up to search for her that later reveals a complicated truth which leads to twists and betrayals.

My Movie Review: The movie is a high tone twisted psychological thriller that full of dimension dress in a sophisticated manner but hides dark secrets no one saw coming make us feel smart to the point you get more than you can chew as the story unfolds I still don't know how it ends:) A Simple Favor is a beautiful curse inject with sense of humour and such mystery it's delicious to indulge as its chanter create the melody of suspension and horror living in cynical adversary. Blake Lively is the power player in this tale as she manipulate the story with a twisted mindset just like in Gone Girl the disappearing act and play the victim once back to blame the husband! The difference in this film there's a Nancy Drew picking up the pieces and solving the case as Anna Kendrick go beyond mile in uncovering the truth and exposing the lie in her mommy vlog.

Critics Consensus: Twisty, twisted, and above all simply fun, A Simple Favor casts a stylish mom noir spell strengthen by potent performances from Anna Kendrick and Blake Lively. With its saucy French pop music and pastel Saul Bass-inspired credits, this film is hungry to seem like classic thriller that you come away charmed by its pure-hearted ambition. A Simple Favor seems to yearn for a bygone era of nail-biter, but rather than wallow in pastiche, it comes up with something truly contemporary feeling. It's gratifying to see Blake Lively and Anna Kendrick both earning their keep in director Paul Feig's borderline-nutso crime comedy, one that won't be confused for a new Gone Girl. But even second-rate trashy turnarounds are worth savoring.

TRAVEL TO MOVIES: THE PREDATOR

Director: Shane Black
Cast: Boyd Holbrook , Olivia Munn , Sterling K. Brown , Thomas Jane , Yvonne Strahovski , Jacob Tremblay , Trevante Rhodes , Keegan-Michael Key , Jake Busey , Jan Bos , Niall Matter
Plot: From the outer reaches of space to the small-town streets of suburbia, the hunt comes home. The universe's most lethal hunters are stronger, smarter and deadlier than ever before, having genetically upgraded themselves with DNA from other species. When boy accidentally triggers their return to Earth, only a ragtag crew of ex-soldiers and an evolutionary biologist can prevent the end of the human race.

My Movie Review: The movie is elevated giving us fresh new take of a beloved monster alien! The Predator is wiser in creating unique twist while staying true to its roots and smarter in feels showing different kind of thrills- it's a shame most critics find it confused- sloppy mess of a film! The start felt like a scene from Star Wars when it shows the outer space and the vast skies as the alien ship approaches to Earth it gave wow factor seems like whole new adventure awaits:) The cast was brilliant they might not be the first names to pop-up in this franchise they sure did more than expected from unusual leads that's unpredictable to it's diverse supporting fun team! Olivia Munn is so cute with her backpack on running around chasing the alien also she's good fighter and she might be in the next sequel as the last scene suggest set future back on track:)

Movie News: Shane Black's "The Predator" is a fun, brutal, fighting machine that wastes no time getting down to business not unlike its title character. It’s not big on wasted dialogue or too many attempts at meta humor, playing both like an homage/throwback film to the action of the ‘80s and something that feels new and fresh. There’s nothing pretentious or whimsical here as we so often see in films that almost parody ‘80s action instead of trying to figure out why these movies endured in the first place. It’s easy to mimic or mock. It’s much harder to ask why the first "Predator" captured lightning in a bottle and try to catch it again. With fantastic cast and razor-sharp pacing, the fact is that this is what you want from a movie called The Predator!

TRAVEL TO MOVIES: ALPHA

Director: Albert Hughes
Cast: Kodi Smit-McPhee , Leonor Varela , Jens Hultén , Natassia Malthe , Spencer Bogaert
Plot: 20,000 years ago, during the last Ice Age in Europe, a young man on his first hunt with his tribe's most elite group gets injured and is left for dead. Alone and broken, he must learn to survive in the wilderness if he wants to find his way home. He finds an unlikely ally in the form of a lone wolf he manages to tame after getting along in the cave. The pair relies on each other and endures countless dangers together.

My Movie Review: The movie is spectacular motion you watch for it's great viewing promises!! Alpha is not the movie most of us desperately wanting to watch you can see it or ignore it gives you a choice whether to snub or took the journey when do it's worthy exceed my expectations:) Ice Age stories nowadays rarely come around that's why I give it a shot plus there's no worthy seeing in big screen this week rather than this prehistoric adventure that transcends lightness:) The pack is complete when you see the cuddly baby wolf and their furry soft presence it was enjoyable they just put icing in the cake to make it delicious can't wait to come home to my cat. Fun-filled day seeing chemistry between Alpha and Keda who's in each other side during those cold winter nights and defend from other creatures that cause harm truly captivating friendship!

Critics Consensus: Well-acted and beautifully filmed, Alpha offers a canine-assisted epic adventure that blends rousing action with an extra helping of canine charm. A work of great imagination but devoid of wasteful excess, grounding his straightforward tale in recognizable human-and animal-behaviors. Evidently, facts aren't terribly important here (even the movie's title comes from a civilization that's still millennia away), but if you can get past that, there's a moderately gripping tale of survival and natural kinship to be had. There's something to be said for the simple joys of enjoying wholesome content on an evening out at the cinema, and this is where Alpha delivers. It is difficult not to be impressed by much of what does arrive on screen:)

TRAVEL TO MOVIES: KIN

Directors: Jonathan Baker, Josh Baker
Cast: Myles Truitt , Jack Reynor , Zoe Kravitz , James Franco , Dennis Quaid , Carrie Coon , Gavin Fox , Romano Orzari , Ian Matthews , Mark O'Brien , Michael B. Jordan , Milton Barnes
Plot: A recently released ex-con and his adopted younger brother are on the run from a vengeful criminal and a gang of otherworldly soldiers. They only have one thing to protect themselves with: armed found weapon of mysterious ancestry that make out of this world blast!

My Movie Review: The movie is rough on the edges but it's shinning beacon of hope for sci-fi lovers that want to discover new world in a different dimension with genre-smash action drama. Kin is very now it's young with all potential but reckless has no clear direction and that's a good thing I like it doesn't know what it want just go with flow kinda story that makes it unpredictable! Jack Reynor is all lovable anti-hero his hard in exterior but soft big brother with good intentions for his younger brother together they escape the gangster trying to kill them with rush road trip! Zoe Kravitz is a exotic dancer in a strip club that caught in the crossfire when the kid with a ray-gun blow up some portion of the bar she come along with cool strut adds spice to the story.

Other's Review: Kin is a superhero movie of sorts, refreshingly uncluttered by the genre’s usual sleek-and-shiny overkill. To be sure, the sleek and shiny bits are few and far between in a feature that begins amid the desolate ruins of Detroit and soon takes to the glamourless highway. The unlikely superhero at its center, a lonely city kid, has murderous magic at his fingertips after stumbling upon an otherworldly weapon. Newcomer Myles Truitt inhabits the role with an earthbound soulfulness what you might call the opposite of heroic flash and even when the film’s progress feels more mechanical than organic, he’s easy to root for. The bottom line it's an admirable but low-impact mash-up with stars like Dennis Quaid and James Franco:)

TRAVEL TO MOVIES: EQUALIZER II

Director: Antoine Fuqua
Cast: Denzel Washington , Pedro Pascal , Ashton Sanders , Melissa Leo , Bill Pullman , Orson Bean , Sakina Jaffrey , Jonathan Scarfe , Adam Karst , Garrett Golden , Rhys Cote , Ken Batlin
Plot: If you have a problem and there is nowhere else to turn, the mysterious and elusive Robert McCall will deliver the vigilante justice you seek. This time, however, McCall's past cuts especially close to home when thugs kill Susan Plummer -- his best friend and former colleague. Now out for revenge, McCall must take on a crew of highly trained assassins who'll stop at nothing to destroy him.

Source: https://www.insing.com/movies/the-equalizer-2-2018/id-72eb0000/

My Movie Review: The movie is a peculiar action sequel that takes a very different approach from its predecessor with thorough investigation on the crime scene and more violent activities! Equalizer II is inventive in showing how justice must be serve even if it's not necessary in some ways resulting in too much violence and ruthless vigilance that kept us so tense in most frame! Denzel Washington reprises his role for his first sequel in his entire career manages to charm us despite the unpleasant things going on his wit and talent was pleasure to watch on screen:) Set in unfamiliar location he was able to come back home and mark his territory conquer the enemies in a foggy atmosphere taking them one by one until reaching the tower it's bloodbath:)

Movie News: Denzel Washington playing a Lyft driver? No one could have predicted that casting choice. The actor gets behind the wheel and picks up customers in the Boston Area. Washington’s character, Robert McCall is still a retired special-ops agent hellbent on equalizing the criminal scum he encounters on his watch. His cover last time was a job at Home Depot, but the Lyft gig gives him access to the worst of people. Edward Woodward, who starred in the 1980s series on which The Equalizer is based, never got to lay on rough, R-rated justice like Denzel. You’re probably thinking, isn’t the two-time Oscar winner punching below his weight in a vigilante movie? Yes but nothing dims his star power. Denzel Returns to Right More Wrongs!!

TRAVEL TO PLACES: MALAYSIA-- JOHOR BAHRU

My Personal Experience: I went to Johor Bahru Malaysia this year April 28, 2018, together with my sister and brother-in-law. We went there to have all day tour in early morning Saturday! Johor Bahru is the nearest city in Malaysia to Singapore that's why we marvel in this instant access during weekend but lot of people went that day resulting in hectic crowded immigration!

Johor Bahru
The city receives about 16 million tourists annually. Johor is connected by two bridges with neighboring country Singapore. Over 300.000 inhabitants of Johor Bahru work in Singapore for many years because of better economical prospects. Johor Bahru (commonly referred to as JB) is the southernmost city in Malaysia. It's one of largest cities in the country (2nd biggest) with more than 2.7 million inhabitants (including suburbs). The current Mega Project Iskandar will do according to experts transform Johor Bahru into the biggest financial center of Malaysia.

TRAVEL TO MOVIES: THE MEG

Director: Jon Turteltaub
Cast: Jason Statham , Li Bingbing , Rainn Wilson , Ruby Rose , Winston Chao , Cliff Curtis , Jessica McNamee , Robert Taylor , Andrew Grainger , Ólafur Darri Ólafsson , Page Kennedy
Plot: The crew aboard a deep-sea submersible, which is part of an international undersea observation program, is trapped inside it when it gets attacked by a creature previously thought to be extinct: a pre-historic 75-foot-long shark known as the Megalodon. Expert deep sea rescue diver Jonas Taylor will have to save the crew but what no one knows is he has faced the creature years ago. Now he will have to confront his fears to save everyone trapped below!

My Movie Review: The movie isn't big enough as expected but didn't disappoint despite flaws! The Meg is a nail-biting thriller with amazing visual effects and great action-packed sequences that has potential to be bigger yet choose another way in the second half only if the giant shark attack more people in the crowded beach and have lots of causalities it will have more impact:( Jason Statham is oozing with charisma doing the battle and his slick physic is helping hand in accomplishing the job- to entertain and amuse plus his distinct accent was delight to be heard:) Sometimes you don't get what you want or expect but you will still get something maybe better I didn't know it has more scenes in the lab than the open ocean still definitely it's scary fun ride!

More Description: In The Meg, wealthy investor Jack Morris (Rainn Wilson) travels to China to see his new research station, where scientists are trying to reach a new level of the ocean floor that's hidden by a layer of frozen gas. They break through, but before they can investigate further, they're attacked by an enormous megalodon, a prehistoric shark thought to be extinct. With three of the group trapped on the ocean floor, controversial but effective expert Jonas Taylor (Jason Statham) is called in to rescue them. Unfortunately, during the first deep water extraction, the "Meg" manages to escape to the surface, leaving it up to Jonas, shark expert Suyin (Bingbing Li), and the rest of the team to stop it before it reaches more populated areas!!
