Plot: Ferry is an Amsterdam gangster and the right-hand man of his boss Brink. When a rival gang shoots Brink's son, Ferry is sent to Brabant to avenge the murder, where meets the beautiful Danielle.
My Movie Review: The movie is a such delight very entertaining and the cast seems amazing! The transition for American audiences is fantastic adding to its allure well done piece of work in my very humble and rough opinion though seeing this character fully realized just amazes me:) Ferry isn't Oscar material but I enjoyed it, there we’re just enough twists to keep it interesting. The acting was believable and I enjoyed myself for a couple hours of disconnect and fantasy to me if a movie can take me away for a time it’s a good movie this one did that plus nostalgia hit! Undercover create household characters like Ferry and Danielle transcends time back when their young and how they met I just love we get a side story as characters feel alive & existing:) Those moments are their memories give you a sense of individuality knowing their back story helps you connect deeper and better understanding why there we're who they are and goes! As Frank Lammers is such a powerhouse his presence maybe agonizing at first but as you get to know him you'll find some sweet spots over there scattered without knowing your under his spell as he charms' in a very potent portray in the end love the artist for a character he created!
Movie News: Great exciting thriller! If you like the Dutch series Undercover, you like this movie for sure. I was hooked from the start, excellent character development and the movie takes you along an easy to follow story. The revelation was not expected, love it! As we say in Brabant: Da is een kei goeie film! Ferry is absorbing and fun in a way that most violent gangster movies rarely are, a credit to director Cecilia Verheyden and writers Nico Moolenaar and Bart Uytdenhouwen. Fun, playful, Love story with a sense of humor. Frank Lammers, perfect fit for the Dutch Movie Screen. Frank is a pleasure for the eyes and ears when it comes to acting. I really enjoyed every second of this movie. Nice camera work (steady and clean). Sound was a smooth transformation. The whole cast impressed me. Make up, props etc. Don't expect a thriller. The story is simple and straightforward. If you ask me, Ferry deserves to have his own show, and the prequel to the popular series, Undercover, is quite entertaining. Frank Lemmers is consistently good; he doesn't bore. What this film tells us is that the wheel of fortune, Ferry's wheel, don't mind, can change in the blink of an eye. Watch it won't disappoint!!
