TRAVEL TO MOVIES: HAUNT

Directors: Scott Beck, Bryan Woods
Cast: Katie Stevens , Will Brittain , Lauryn Alisa McClain , Andrew Caldwell , Schuyler Helford , Chaney Morrow , Justin Marxen , Damian Maffei , Terri Partyka , Schuyler White , Samuel Hunt
Plot: On Halloween, a group of friends encounter an "extreme" haunted house that promises to feed on their darkest fears. The night turns deadly as they come to the horrifying realization that some nightmares are real.

My Movie Review: The movie is a satisfying surprise it gets clever when you'll least expected as the terror gets real after revealing what's under the mask- I was terrified seeing those faces! Haunt comes off as a typical horror at first when a group of friends come into a hunted bunker to amuse themselves and get pick one by one what's good most scenes turn's out bit different:) It has more substance than predicted even the haunted house attraction has more layers than realized really a smart horror with isolated room and daring challenge one can play get hurt for it without knowing scare becomes all survival race against odds in finding way out to stay alive! Katie Stevens get the spot for the lead in a great little flick that has enough for you to imagine the sensation and kept you on your toes when I'd don't know whose safe or not very well done! Go give it try you will not regret as it breaks convention and gives an intriguing premise in what creep us out when the monsters are real that killer humans think/act/ more sinister than ghost:)

Critics Consensus: Haunt is spooked by the spirits of its obvious influences, but still packs enough thrills and chills to satisfy horror fans up for a haunted house excursion. Delivers a satisfying quantity of creeps and frights that more than compensate for the occasional lull. Though it's from the writers of A Quiet Place, the grisly horror gem plays more like Saw movie! Convincingly creepy while also slightly thought-provoking, it warns about deceiving facades, because what hides underneath masks is possibly much worse. With a simultaneous theatrical and digital release, Haunt's pedigree, underlined by Eli Roth's participation as producer, should prove a draw for both devoted horror fans and the simply curious. While the unfolding of the film follows traditional patterns it does it with certain panache. Funny, frightening, endlessly entertaining, and with a whole host of horrible villains and genuinely likable characters, one of the best horror movies of the year and a slasher all-timer in the making. Nicely mythic tinge to both the placement of the haunt and goings-on within! The tension here' is pretty damn strong:)
