TRAVEL TO MOVIES: MALEFICENT: MISTRESS OF EVIL

Director: Joachim Rønning
Cast: Angelina Jolie , Elle Fanning , Michelle Pfeiffer , Harris Dickinson , Robert Lindsay , Chiwetel Ejiofor , Sam Riley , Ed Skrein , Jenn Murray , Miyavi , Lesley Manville , Juno Temple
Plot: In Disney's "Maleficent: Mistress of Evil," a sequel to the 2014 global box office hit, Maleficent and her goddaughter Aurora begin to question the complex family ties that bind them as they are pulled in different directions by impending nuptials, unexpected allies and dark new forces at play. The years have been kind to Maleficent and Aurora. Their relationship, born of heartbreak, revenge and ultimately love, has flourished. Yet the hatred between man and the fairies still exists. Aurora's impending marriage to Prince Phillip is cause for celebration in the kingdom of Ulstead and the neighboring Moors, as the wedding serves to unite the two worlds. When an unexpected encounter introduces a powerful new alliance, Maleficent and Aurora are pulled apart to opposing sides in a Great War, testing their loyalties and causing them to question whether they can truly be family.

My Movie Review: The movie is fantastic I like how Angelina carried her character, Maleficent! This fantasy action sequel is visually spectacular but not dark enough to be the Mistress of Evil with its title I thought it will be gruesome or darker than this instead a light colorful Angel Origin! Maleficent: Mistress Of Evil is a instant classic of a fairy-tale with a typical happy ending that become cliche over the years we expect more complex fitting twist beyond our grasps yet its never happen a witty trick on the end could make a whole lot different for that its such letdown!! Sam Riley's Diaval is stealing the spotlight with more screening time and focus on presence it could be a perfect romantic partner for Maleficent in my mind match their cute smile and fangs! Well, Well, a dark phoenix ascended from the ashes so big and black guess that's the huge surprise for the children's shock while the adults alike dissatisfied for the lack of Magnificence the story had but thank God for Angelina Jolie's charm her presence alone leave you satisfied:)

Movie News: A big reason for Maleficent: Mistress of Evil being a superior sequel is an improved cast on the first movie. Michelle Pfeiffer is a significant improvement on Sharlto Copley as the movie's antagonist, and the movie is at its strongest when Pfeiffer's Queen Ingrith is battling wits with Maleficent. It's unfortunate that we just don't get enough of it. An early 'meet the parents' dinner scene is an excuse to have Jolie and Pfeiffer sassing each other and is every bit as good as it sounds, but it proves to be a high point that the rest of the film can't match. By comparison, Maleficent's subplot where she meets other fairies like herself, including Conall (Chiwetel Ejiofor) and Borra (Ed Skrein), is just a bit dull. The move forward from May 2020 is another bonus for Maleficent: Mistress of Evil as it succeeds as a Halloween family treat. It's dark without being too dark and visually bold enough to justify a big-screen viewing, although definitely misses the subversive twist it could have been much more:(
