TRAVEL TO MOVIES: THE OCCUPANT

Directors: David Pastor, Àlex Pastor
Cast: Javier Gutiérrez , Mario Casas , Bruna Cusí, Ruth Díaz , David Ramírez , David Selvas , David Verdaguer , Iris Vallés Torres , Cristian Muñoz , Raül Ferre , Vicky Luengo , Júlia Molins
Plot: An unemployed executive is forced to sell his apartment. When he discovers that he still has the keys, he will become obsessed with the family that now lives there and will decide to recover the life he has lost, at any price.

My Movie Review: The movie is a dark psychological thriller that show a new kind of crazy and high level of insanity that exactly what we all need its a interesting creep that fun to follow:) The Occupant (Hogar) is a domestic drama at first, by the conclusion it's a tense spellbinding thriller that creates unsettling ride to the viewer, often testing the lead to go out on a insane difficult situation and somehow he pull through sometimes you can't believe the lie's being true! The transition is very careful as it builds rapport it's fascinating to watch as it unfolds freak you out a little when in times the movie pushes the boundaries with major shifts in its perspectives:) Mario Casas is making a name in Netflix as most of his European Spanish films are streaming on the platform service and most of them are compelling thrillers that give me chills redefining Netflix & Chill like this film it very well manage to keep all of its mysteries intact as so intriguing! If you like stalker films and enjoy slow-burn plot focused on it's characters then check this out:0

Critics Consensus: Àlex Pastor and David Pastor deliver a very entertaining and twisted thriller. Writing from the confinement of a global pandemic gives The Occupant a strange atmosphere of unease. With an excellent cast led by Javier Gutiérrez, the Pastor Brothers have returned to feature films with serious conviction. Hogar could have been a most stimulating and twisted thriller but it ends up being an entertaining one, with a fluid rhythm and excellent work from its lead. Which is not nothing, but it leaves you wishing for more. Admit it, we all miss Joe Goldberg. He was psychotic and crazy but You on Netflix was our safe haven and miss it dearly. The You shaped hole in our hearts can now finally be filled, as Netflix has just released The Occupant. Enter the new Joe Goldberg: This time not a creepy bookstore worker but an obsessive advertising executive called Javier Munoz. Once successful in his job, but it all starts to crumble around him. He is forced to sell his family’s apartment when he can no longer afford it. He still has a set of keys and and decides to stalk the new residents. He becomes obsessed getting what he still sees as his home back and getting its old life back too!

TRAVEL TO MOVIES: THE PLATFORM

Director: Galder Gaztelu-Urrutia
Cast: Ivan Massagué , Antonia San Juan , Zorion Eguileor , Alexandra Masangkay , Emilio B.
Plot: One day Goreng wakes up with his future colleague Trimagasi in the 33rd level of a prison style place, crossed by a hole where a platform descends with meal remains left from the tenants from higher levels. Trimagasi knows the rules that govern this mysterious place: two people per level and an unknown number of them. If you go upwards you survive... but think too much and you will descend again. If you are in the bottom where the food barely arrives, you cannot trust anyone except your guts.

My Movie Review: The movie is a shocking must-see thriller that's perfectly fit to see in our current state of isolation and panic buying as the world experience this massive real pandemic! The Platform is an eye opener on global food crisis and society hierarchy presented by higher floors to the bottom- surreal and very manic this high concept horror suspense is one to catch:) As the cinema's goes dark and we can't leave the house due to extreme lock-down we found online entertainment suitable to our needs and Netflix is the best remedy delivering brand new series and movies- The Platform as my first Netflix reviewed movie can change how I write and post review movie as this might be the future for now I just go with the flow until cinema is back on it's feet again I may not agree with moving premiere dates luckily we still have Netflix films:0 The Platform may seem dark and weird at first but has it goes on it gets better thrilling and exciting once you get the concept you'll get hook on what's gonna happen next its astounding:)

Critics Consensus: While it may feel muddled at times, The Platform is an inventive and captivating dystopian thriller. Ultimately, The Platform might not have that much to say... but what it does say, it says effectively and ruthlessly, eschewing a tap on the shoulder for a punch in the face instead. A film with multiple impressive twists given its limited setting, and each of them casts a new light on how the movie is supposed to reflect society. A must-see in our increasingly unequal world, Gaztelu-Urrutia's astonishing debut makes a strong case for the masses to eat the rich. "The Platform" is not a subtle film. But these are unsubtle times, with unsubtle problems, and the most alarming thing about this grimly affecting Spanish allegory... is that it sometimes doesn't seem like an allegory at all. Gaztelu-Urrutia's allegory is clear. What he's after, though, isn't as simple as eat the rich. He's curious about how the poor devour each other. The Platform feels like a sledgehammer to the chest. It's bleak yet hopeful ending offers no real solution to classism and privilege and timeliness echoes as it fades to the credits.

TRAVEL TO MOVIES: THE INVISIBLE MAN

Director: Leigh Whannell
Cast: Elisabeth Moss , Oliver Jackson-Cohen , Aldis Hodge , Harriet Dyer , Michael Dorman , Storm Reid , Benedict Hardie , Sam Smith , Amali Golden , Nash Edgerton , Bianca Pomponio
Plot: Trapped in a violent, controlling relationship with a wealthy and brilliant scientist, Cecilia Kass (Elisabeth Moss) escapes in the dead of night and disappears into hiding, aided by her sister (Harriet Dyer, NBC's The InBetween), their childhood friend (Aldis Hodge, Straight Outta Compton) and his teenage daughter (Storm Reid, HBO's Euphoria). But when Cecilia's abusive ex (Oliver Jackson-Cohen, Netflix's The Haunting of Hill House) commits suicide and leaves her a generous portion of his vast fortune, Cecilia suspects his death was a hoax. As a series of eerie coincidences turns lethal, threatening the lives of those she loves, Cecilia's sanity begins to unravel as she desperately tries to prove that she is being hunted by someone nobody can see.

My Movie Review: The movie is cut-throat and seamless this classic horror suspense gets an upgrade triggering tense atmosphere of getting caught will keep you on the edge of your seat:0 The Invisible Man is a mystery thriller that hits the mark in all the right places from its unhinged moments to unpredictable turn of events in the latter part, this reboot is for sure worth watching it has fresh prospective, a very capable actress and spooky surprises that hidden in plain sight! Elisabeth Moss is amazing and very effective her fear translated to the big screen and can fill the whole room with dread and animosity she does so much just with her eyes tension mounts! Oliver Jason-Cohen is unusual choice as the invisible man his pretty and preppy face doesn't match the abusive boyfriend look but the way they captured his presence was clever and afar:) Aldis Hodge is machismo tough guy who urge to protect his daughter and friend facing trauma while Harriet Dyer is doubtful sister that add sophistication- dress in a dinner were she got cut:!

Critics Consensus: Smart, well-acted, and above all scary, The Invisible Man proves that sometimes, the classic source material for fresh reboot can be hiding in plain sight. Ultimately, The Invisible Man makes for a pacey, if mostly predictable, reimagining of a classic Hollywood horror terror. Whannell is brilliant at distracting us with amusing, knowing dialogue (siblings are rivalrous; architects are trendy; waiters are irksomely urbane). Death comes when you least expect it. Elisabeth Moss's Cecilia has everything under the sun to be petrified about. It seems that you can teach an old dog new tricks, at least when it comes to classic Universal monster movies. Whannell uses stillness and empty spaces against the audience expertly. But it's Moss who most sells this new, self-consciously serious take on hammy monster movie premise. This film is relentless with a #metoo trope in that the director keeps showing Moss as Cecilia strong physically and mentally. What makes it white-knuckle-worthy is that you can't see her enemy, nor can she. The film surprises with science fiction to show masculine domination over women!

TRAVEL TO PLACES: TAIWAN-- ZHONGXIAO ROAD

My Personal Experience: I went to Zhongxiao Road Intersection last year April 21, 2019, together with my sister. We went there to suddenly take snaps on our way to next destination:0 Yet sometimes those moments happened in a blink of an eye make the journey count those intersection going road a example we don't normally capture them but this in-between matters!!

Zhongxiao Road
Zhongxiao Road (Chinese: 忠孝東路、忠孝西路) is a major arterial boulevard and part of provincial highway 5 in Taipei, Taiwan, connecting the Zhongzheng district in the west with the Daan, Songshan, Xinyi, and Nangang districts towards the east. Zhongxiao is known as a popular shopping and entertainment area, with many large department stores and shopping malls located along most of the entire stretch. About half of the Nangang Line of the Taipei Metro runs under the road, with stations located at major intersections along the road, which accounts for the significant pedestrian traffic along the road. The majority of the road is 8-10 lanes wide with a median dividing the road. At the intersection with Zhongshan Road, there is a two-lane underpass for traffic on Zhongxiao Road to bypass the intersection. Zhongxiao Road is divided into east and west sections, as determined by Zhongshan Road, with two numbered sections in the west section and seven numbered section in the east like Hangzhou-Xinsheng:)

TRAVEL TO MOVIES: SONIC THE HEDGEHOG

Director: Jeff Fowler
Cast: James Marsden , Ben Schwartz , Tika Sumpter , Natasha Rothwell , Neal McDonough , Jim Carrey , Adam Pally , Lee Majdoub , Tom Butler , Frank Turner , Melody Nosipho Niemann
Plot: Sonic The Hedgehog is a live-action adventure comedy based on the global blockbuster video game franchise from Sega that centers on the infamously brash bright blue hedgehog. The film follows the (mis)adventures of Sonic as he navigates the complexities of life on Earth with his newfound human best friend Tom Wachowski (James Marsden). Sonic and Tom join forces to try and stop the villainous Dr. Robotnik (Jim Carrey) from capturing Sonic and using his immense powers for world domination. The film also stars Tika Sumpter and Ben Schwartz as the voice of Sonic.

My Movie Review: The movie is fast smart and very lovable nod to the video game franchise:) Sonic The Hedgehog is a great family friendly film with plenty of comedic moments and some edgy fun sequences make the journey worth while it's enjoyable enticing' a total crowd-pleaser! The little blue alien spark cuteness and bit of arrogance once he sprint quicker than the speed of light you'll see how cool the visual effects and the ring's going to another dimension nice too! James Marsden is very appealing to both young and old viewers his got that charming family guy look at the same a slick aficionado with charisma and quiet confidence metro kind of man:) Jim Carrey on the other hand is stealing the show, with all the madness and manic energy puts his name back in the game its not always a hit but he's funny when his bodyguard was around! Tika Sumpter is all surprise never seen her in the trailer and choice of her being the human lead's partner was unusual she's black her forehead look's huge not being racist just stunned:0

Movie News Review: The new Sonic film is so adorable that it almost makes up for a pretty generic plot and a human cast that play the roles of heroic and bad so straight, they could be extras in The Good Place. To run away from villains after his super-speed power, Sonic leaves his planet via magical portal rings to find himself on Earth in the small town of Green Hills. We find out that his fast-talking personality is basically a result of 10 years of intense isolation, having to hide from the townspeople and keep himself entertained by talking to himself. After causing energy surge that shuts down the town’s power, the government sends (Jim Carrey) Dr. Robotnik to investigate. Sonic partners up with good-hearted sheriff Tom (James Marsden), the two develop a bromance the way men are prescribed to in movies, through a road trip and a bar fight. The movie shines when it remembers it’s based on a video game have fun, the end credits hint at a sequel featuring Tails and even more unhinged Robotnik going full-on Eggman.
