Director: Jeff Fowler
Cast: James Marsden , Ben Schwartz , Tika Sumpter , Natasha Rothwell , Neal McDonough , Jim Carrey , Adam Pally , Lee Majdoub , Tom Butler , Frank Turner , Melody Nosipho Niemann
Plot: Sonic The Hedgehog is a live-action adventure comedy based on the global blockbuster video game franchise from Sega that centers on the infamously brash bright blue hedgehog. The film follows the (mis)adventures of Sonic as he navigates the complexities of life on Earth with his newfound human best friend Tom Wachowski (James Marsden). Sonic and Tom join forces to try and stop the villainous Dr. Robotnik (Jim Carrey) from capturing Sonic and using his immense powers for world domination. The film also stars Tika Sumpter and Ben Schwartz as the voice of Sonic.

My Movie Review: The movie is fast smart and very lovable nod to the video game franchise:) Sonic The Hedgehog is a great family friendly film with plenty of comedic moments and some edgy fun sequences make the journey worth while it's enjoyable enticing' a total crowd-pleaser! The little blue alien spark cuteness and bit of arrogance once he sprint quicker than the speed of light you'll see how cool the visual effects and the ring's going to another dimension nice too! James Marsden is very appealing to both young and old viewers his got that charming family guy look at the same a slick aficionado with charisma and quiet confidence metro kind of man:) Jim Carrey on the other hand is stealing the show, with all the madness and manic energy puts his name back in the game its not always a hit but he's funny when his bodyguard was around! Tika Sumpter is all surprise never seen her in the trailer and choice of her being the human lead's partner was unusual she's black her forehead look's huge not being racist just stunned:0

Movie News Review: The new Sonic film is so adorable that it almost makes up for a pretty generic plot and a human cast that play the roles of heroic and bad so straight, they could be extras in The Good Place. To run away from villains after his super-speed power, Sonic leaves his planet via magical portal rings to find himself on Earth in the small town of Green Hills. We find out that his fast-talking personality is basically a result of 10 years of intense isolation, having to hide from the townspeople and keep himself entertained by talking to himself. After causing energy surge that shuts down the town’s power, the government sends (Jim Carrey) Dr. Robotnik to investigate. Sonic partners up with good-hearted sheriff Tom (James Marsden), the two develop a bromance the way men are prescribed to in movies, through a road trip and a bar fight. The movie shines when it remembers it’s based on a video game have fun, the end credits hint at a sequel featuring Tails and even more unhinged Robotnik going full-on Eggman.
