My Movie Review: The movie is not scary at all, storyline was ok but they didn't executed well enough so although for the first 10 minutes it really grabbed my attention I thought the start of the movie was really good suspense, about supernatural stuff, but then it turned into a thriller about medicine? that makes people hosts for old people so many loopholes in the story but I enjoyed that it thrilled me, gave me the adrenaline rush I just wished The Privilege would have been developed more clarity so we can appreciate the plot luckily there's a sequel coming! Some people are just harsh there's something to see here it may not be the typical horror but has sophisticated style in showing gruesome events and great visuals all around it's refreshing!
Critics Reviews: The Privilege is what happens when Get Out cheats on The Da Vinci Code and gets arrested for having a trashy threesome with I Know What You Did Last Summer and The Final Destination. Despite obvious manipulation, and an oddball central plot involving a fungus that grows on corpses and inside victims, The Privilege could prove a hit. Another example of a horror-type film that could not make up its mind on what it wants to be. If you're looking for a fun horror watch that throws different subgenres into blender and works, The Privilege is it: family, corporate intrigue, trauma and the supernatural all collide for a good time!
Audience Reviews: I had a hard time figuring out where all the plot lines would meet at the end, and unfortunately, my guess was right and it turned out to be smashed in a rushed ending. Disappointing. Lousy movie. Bad acting and script that is coupled with a confused and erratic storyline and plot. It's just a heap and mesh of unoriginal nonsense and unlikeable characters. Stupid ending. A convoluted, confused, scheiße of a movie that suffered from an annoying, multiple themes disorder. Quoting a line from the sublime movie Amadeus " There is simply too many notes". The script borrows heavily from other superior, horror classics, failing to fit the many pieces, never able to come into its own. The scariest part of the film is that it promises a sequel, the only original part that made any sense was the threesome. I conclude that "Das Privileg" will leave you with assured feeling of bitter bafflement- hoping better sequel!
