My Personal Experience: I went to Chinatown in Singapore last May 10, 2011, together with my sister, my cousin and my uncle. We went there to buy some souvenirs and gifts for our friends and love ones. We explore Chinatown from the streets, where you can find different stores and bargains to inside holy temples, where you can see religious replicas.
Chinatown
Chinatown is Singapore’s largest historic district, nestled close to the bustling business hub. When Raffles announced Singapore as a trading post in 1819, many Chinese flocked to Singapore, and by the end of the 1860s, the Chinese community had grown to encompass 65% of the population in Singapore.
