TRAVEL TO PLACES: SINGAPORE-- SUPER SUB

My Personal Experience: I went to Super Sub my first day out since arriving back in outside the area around so PLQ- Paya Lebar Quarter last year August 3, 2022, together with my sister! Super Sub is bringing color to the vicinity with its neon lights you can't help but to catch eye on the booth and get out their hotdog sell put on a bun with overflowing toppings and much sauce!

Super Sub
Super Sub: Creative Hotdog Subs With Gourmet Toppings at Suntec! Located at Suntec City, Super Sub first opened its doors to the public in September 2019. I went to PLQ! Even though their main focus lies in their toppings, they use specially-made chicken hotdogs that are customized and locally produced. When my friend first recommended Super Sub to me, I was pretty skeptical. I’ve always wondered how hotdogs can fill up your tummy because portions always looked meagre to me. Because I’ve always been using IKEA hotdogs as a benchmark, I never knew how the sub's loaded with toppings looked like—until I saw Super Sub’s hotdogs:)

TRAVEL TO MOVIES: INTRUSION

Director: Adam Salky
Cast: Freida Pinto , Logan Marshall-Green , Robert John Burke , Sarah Minnich , Bonita King , Hayes Hargrove , Megan Elisabeth Kelly , Mark Sivertsen , Brandon Fierro , Yvette F- Delaney
Plot: When a husband and a wife move to a small town, a new home invasion leaves the wife traumatized and suspicious that those around her might not be who they seem.

My Movie Review: The movie is a fun watch to be sure as a home invasion movie of sorts, it has a number of thrilling moments, and lead actors Freida Pinto and Logan Marshall-Green arc such fine performances shine even Intrusion is frustratingly derivative and predictable to watch! Intrusion is a fairly minimalist movie about this couple who has just moved to a new small town the guy who's an architect just built the entire house and the secrets they harbor and their attempts to make the relationship work despite things that threat few uninspired suspense tale! Although thoroughly formulaic, Intrusion is a tightly paced thriller about domestic bliss thrown into turmoil that is executed with play an upscale couple under a mystery film that's so lazy and to a point of mediocre its easy to figure out who's the chief villain long before the movie is over! It could have been insightful or it could have been trashy, but instead it's painfully undertaking, a vapid mélange of dozens of movies that came before it suffers from predictable plot, but that doesn't necessarily mean you won't have a decent time with it honestly like more than I should! Plot twist: Henry kidnapped the missing girl before Meera can help girl escape, Henry corners her in the basement. He insists he has a sickness just like Meera's cancer, that it's not his fault, and that she ought to treat him with a compassion' turns out Henry confesses he's a sociopath!

Critic Reviews: Despite fine work from Freida Pinto as the curious wife in peril, the derivative Netflix film only frustrates. While there are quality jump scares and Marshall-Green gives it his all, Intrusion fails to deliver on much of its promise, stumbling when it should be sprinting. Call it Scenes from a Marriage in a Netflix Thriller, but then again those are generous qualifiers. The scenes from this marriage run flat, the thrills even more so. As yet more content, it's an agreeable option, the simple a-to-b-to-c plot proving involving enough for us to not exactly care what happens but at least see how unpleasant it all gets. There's an incredibly interesting story lurking somewhere beneath "Intrusion," about the way mistrust and paranoia can slowly chip away at a marriage. The film, however, eschews this tale in favor of something a little more rote, and a little bit trashier. If "Intrusion" has one redeeming feature, it's Marshall-Green, whose performance as the husband with a dark secret has a crackling, tightly controlled intensity far more nuanced and persuasive than anything else in the film. Intrusion passes off lack of ambition as ambition itself. Intrusion doesn't have much in the way of thrills, chills, or big mystery. Its secrets are predictable to where the viewer is always multiple steps ahead of the narrative. This is familiar, shopworn story but Pinto works it as best she can, Logan he too:)

TRAVEL TO MOVIES: THE STRONGHOLD

Director: Cédric Jimenez
Cast: Gilles Lellouche , Karim Leklou , François Civil , Adèle Exarchopoulos , Cyril Lecomte , Michaël Abiteboul , Vincent Darmuzey , Kenza Fortas , Jean-Yves Berteloot , Jacques Kounta
Plot: Tired of the so small-time grind, three Marseille cops get a chance to bust a major drug network. However, lines blur when a key informant makes a big ask. A police brigade working in the dangerous northern neighborhoods of Marseille, where the level of crime is higher than anywhere else in France.

My Movie Review: The movie is much ado about nothing the overexaggerating action helps to surpasses any expectations we may have for a gritty cop drama and its such pleasant surprise! Based on actual events, The Stronghold is a stylish but familiar cop drama that examines the tightrope police officers sometimes have to walk fine line doing the wrongdoings right at back! The Stronghold is entertaining but uneven mix of knockabout fun and seriously compromised policing overall is fine, and has plenty going for it. If you're a fan of the '00s crime TV series The Shield, you will see aspects of it, chaotic but we love that kind of chaos give us adrenaline! The events transpiring in The Stronghold are portrayed in such realistic and dark manner, the grey-black tone utilized throughout the film succeeds the mood of gang life pulse racing auteur that works brilliantly well for the first two-thirds, with strong characters if sympathetically drawn! The final act stumbles though predicament they take a gang in that are selling turtles during a BBQ, Antoine expresses his wish that they had taken the cash from an earlier bust operation! Once Antoine does tell Internal Affairs about his informant, the charges of drug trafficking are dropped and the end titles reveal Yass is now with the police union, Antoine resigned to work as a prison nurse and Greg was removed from the police force' he became a municipal officer:)

Critic Reviews: The Stronghold tries to say something but doesn't have the tools or the right political messaging to deliver it clearly. For cops-and-drug-dealers thriller it be frustrating. The Stronghold is an immersive, gripping drama that's much more than just the suspenseful, brilliantly staged action set piece that occurs smack-dab at the movie's halfway point. In this slickly-produced and strongly-acted thriller, lots of buildup leads to nowhere. An ambitious but uneven policier that wants to be both knockabout buddy movie and action-packed drama with serious, contemporary themes! For all its weaknesses and occasional lapses into cliché, The Stronghold should still get you through a couple of hours, entertained and mostly engrossed. In terms of action scenes and adrenaline, The Stronghold fulfills its contract perfectly, with the film also drawing a lot of its quality! Loosely based on the real-life story in 2012 that found many Marseille police officers charged of corruption, stealing and selling drugs and receiving bribes, this film misguidedly reimagines the story through these 3 White police officers. The Stronghold is an immersive, gripping drama that's much more than just the suspenseful, brilliantly staged action set piece! The Stronghold Netflix is such a outstanding gritty thriller movie. This French thrillers has enough action, style, betrayals and a great script for plenty average does of action!

TRAVEL TO MOVIES: PREY

Director: Thomas Sieben
Cast: David Kross , Hanno Koffler , Maria Ehrich , Robert Finster , Livia Matthes , Yung Ngo , Klaus Steinbacher , Nellie Thalbach , Olivia Castanho , Gabriel Sousa , Andreas Berger (CtGp)
Plot: Roman together with his brother Albert and their friends go on a hiking trip into the wild! The group soon find themselves in a desperate bid for survival when they realize that they have fallen prey to a mysterious shooter.

My Movie Review: The movie is thrilling but in a confusing way as it misses its target when there's no direction to follow exciting in premise with unknown results as a hiking trip into the wild turns into a desperate bid for survival for five friends on the run from a mysterious shooter! Prey is such set-up playing field an extremely violent 2021 German survival horror /thriller that could have great if it found its core as centers' around five friends on the run from an unknown sharpshooter set to kill them and makes me think if do play the cards right could been ecstatic!! What's the shooter's motivations? A man hater and has troubled past as the men stumble upon an innocent-looking woman, Eva (Maria Ehrich), standing by the lake, and while they initially think she can help them, it turns out she's the shooter all along so the lesson here first don't assume always think with suspicion cause you never know what's that person would do to you! Prey is actually good thriller has a lot going for it and starts strong however it does also feel long it starts to drag with nothing much to root for and small developments that often shallow! In the same vein as Red Dot Netflix's latest survival thriller Prey sees a group of men on a stag party weekend so second lesson' be careful when going on vacation don't let your guard down!

Critic Reviews: Prey is a must-watch survival film that will make you look around for a sniper in the trees. From betrayal to tragic accidents, there is a weight to Prey that just works, with its antagonist adding the right amount of twist to surprise viewers. When the big reveals are doled out in the final frames, you'll likely rewind it a few times to see if you missed the what's and whys. Nope, it's just one big head-scratcher. At one point in the ridiculous Prey, one hiker being stalked by a killer ventures, "Who says it has to make sense?" That seems to be the guiding motto of this film. All these criticisms might not matter if Sieben choreographed set pieces for maximum tension and showcased more directorial panache, but with Prey, he's merely content to get the job done with drab efficiency. If you ever wondered how boring and frustrating it might be to watch the young, athletic and helpless stagger to their deaths, with little agency in their fate, Sieben's made a movie for you. The main problem with Prey is conceptual, in that it sets up a horror situation that seems fundamentally pointless, with the fate of the men hang in abyss with disappointing misfire that ultimately pales in comparison to its like-minded brethren!!
