TRAVEL TO MOVIES: KRAMPUS

Director: Michael Dougherty
Cast: Adam Scott , Toni Collette , Allison Tolman , David Koechner , Emjay Anthony
Plot: When Max's dysfunctional family fights over the holidays, he becomes disappointed and turns his back on Christmas. But his lack of festive spirit has angered Krampus, a beast-like creature with demonic appearance who punishes non-believers of Christmas the total opposite of Santa Claus.

My Movie Review: The movie is clever giving different kind of emotion to feel this holiday spirit. One of the best horror comedy I've seen it's entertainingly smart giving spot-on genuine scares and lessons to be learn. It's not your typical Christmas film somehow take refreshing look to see a pitch of terror extending the Halloween fest without losing it's wholesome vibe. Truly is the most wonderful time of the year to have fun and watch family movies like this giving heart-felt story despite of the twisted monstrous content to look out.
My Favorite Character: Krampus

Based on Austro-Bavarian German-speaking Alpine folklore, Krampus is a horned, anthropomorphic figure who, during the Christmas season, punishes children who have misbehaved, in contrast with Saint Nicholas, who rewards the well-behaved with gifts. Regions in Austria feature similar figures and, more widely, Krampus is one of a number of Companions of Saint Nicholas in regions of Europe. The origin of the figure is still unclear.
