Director: Jon Favreau
Cast: Ben Kingsley , Scarlett Johansson , Bill Murray , Idris Elba , Christopher Walken
Plot: Mowgli is a man-cub raised by a family of wolves whose friends include a bear named Baloo and a panther by the name of Bagheera. The young boy is forced to flee the only home he's ever known when a fearsome tiger, Shere Khan, goes after him. Accompanied by his friends, Mowgli embarks on a journey of self-discovery.
My Movie Review: The movie is creative usually not my cup of tea since I don't watched much animal stories in big screen but this one change my prospective in viewing pleasure. The jungle is definitely alive in this visual spectacle with bright colors and distinct motions captured right before our eyes. The story gets much more better as it progresses keeping you wanting more with surprises whose animals are nice or wild kind'a tricky but I like that.
My Favorite Character: Raksha- The Mother Wolf
Raksha is a fictional character featured in Rudyard Kipling's Mowgli stories, collected in The Jungle Book and The Second Jungle Book. She is a female Indian wolf, member of the Seeonee pack, who while suckling her own cubs decides also to adopt a human "cub" that her mate Father Wolf has found wandering in the jungle, naming him "Mowgli" (which means "frog" in the Speech of the Jungle) because of his hairlessness.
