TRAVEL TO MOVIES: MALCOLM & MARIE

Director: Sam Levinson
Cast: John David Washington , Zendaya
Plot: Writer/Director Sam Levinson teams up with Zendaya and John David Washington for an achingly romantic drama in which a filmmaker (Washington) and his girlfriend (Zendaya) return home following a celebratory movie premiere as he awaits what's sure to be imminent critical and financial success. The evening suddenly takes turn as revelations about their relationships begin to surface, testing the strength of their love.

My Movie Review: The movie is salacious the vibe you'll feel mostly inappropriate interest in sexual matters as you put two people in a one on one set-up at black and white in entire visual! Malcolm & Marie is monotonous at first glance yet the animosity created pick-up the slack from time to time might be emotionally exhausting movie you'll ever watch but it's worth the chance:) Zendaya and John David Washington stars as a couple on the verge of a breakup their look on screen translate to each character and the undeniable charisma together' make the movie pop! For a number of key reasons, it's definitely not appropriate for very young audiences as this one gets most of its more mature marks for mild sex and nudity, along with moderate use of profanity including the F-word, which happens in the trailer as well its for open minded viewers! Its purpose to showcase different views as Malcolm, in a way represents films themselves while Marie represents the general audience questions his intentions, therefore questioning the film's intentions as she questions his authenticity as partner, questioning his film's authenticity!!

Critics Consensus: Malcolm & Marie's ambitions aren't always satisfactorily fulfilled, but flaws are often offset by the strong chemistry between the film's stars. With its terrific performances, resonating dialogue, and elegant single-setting production, the film compels us to see beyond couple clamoring across the house and acknowledge that perpetually underestimated woman has found her voice. This is a stunning film with tour-de-force (another phrase Malcolm hates) performances. Zendaya and John David Washington bring Malcolm & Marie to life, even when the story and the dialogue they're given don't do them any favors. [Sam Levinson] makes tangible many ideas that would have otherwise remained trapped in the characters' dialogues because of details like this that I believe the film works. Malcolm & Marie doesn't accomplish much else besides telling on its progenitor. Writer and director Sam Levinson, who lenses the proceedings in crisp, glowing black and white, delves into a number of interesting areas: the relationship between art and artist, film and audience, and - most thornily - creator and "muse."
