His personality is a bit too overwhelming for them, and this causes Ned to have a really bad impression of him, even though Stephanie insists that Laird is a nice guy and she is perfectly happy with him. Laird then reveals his plan to propose to Stephanie in the next five days, his heart set to do whatever it takes to get Ned's blessing. So he starts by trying to win over Barb and Scott, but Ned goes out of his way to make sure Laird doesn't succeed.

My Movie Review: The movie is witty hilarious this perfect comedy makes me feel homey! Why Him? has a lot of funny antics from the meeting the boyfriend to getting the approval in marrying daughter. It's instant classic like "We're The Millers" mixed "Meet The Parents." James Franco is natural fun to watch the goofy personality fits him well as if his not acting. Sometimes you have to watch something crazy to have fun unplug and this one served it. The Flemings are the jam every member of the family brings a new layer of comedic skits:)
My Favorite Lines: "From the moment she’s born a man’s daughter is the center of his universe. You give her love, you give her encouragement, you watch her grow into strong confident woman. And one day you come face to face with the love of her life." "As your little girl grows up it seems like no guy will ever be good enough for her. But sooner or later time you to meet the love of her life." "I’m very excited for you to meet my boyfriend. This is his house?" "That kid is wrapping his tentacles around every member of this family. His influence your mother's smoking some marijuana. I am gonna take this octopus down."
