Plot: Madrid, 2019. A serial killer is spreading chaos. Anonymous people with no apparent connection are being murdered while imitating the first appearances of the most famous superheroes. A seasoned detective and his young and impulsive replacement put together the strange clues left by a serial killer.

My Movie Review: The movie is a superhero story with unique graphic violence that tickles our fascination on comic books nerdy pop culture references and solving mysteries like we're sort of a detective who seek answer and find the truth we're drown to that serial killer darkness! Unknown Origins is the Spanish take on the American movie Kick-Ass with all that superhero dark humor and light comedy on the side it balance its tonal and conceptual bumbling in a fool smart way that's rare to come around now there's something dumb about but very informative:) This is such a fun and entertaining movie I was surprise how good it is light and free flowing with a hint of mystery and right amount of gore that add spice watch this if your not in a mood of anything serious plus likeable characters' that you might find yourself attached or relate too:) Bad finish astonishing potential ending in a colossal cycle or lost in translation but nevertheless I like a movie that look like a parody and sprung something' fresh original thought to showcase!

Critic Reviews: Adapting his own novel, filmmaker David Galan Galindo gives a pastiche vibe to this Spanish thriller, with its witty characters and hyper-grisly murders. While there's some fun to be had in this superhero rip-off, it's not enough to make up for Unknown Origins' bizarre tonal shifts and lack of self-awareness, taking itself way too seriously as a superhero meets hard-boiled crime flick. The allusions and mentions pile up, but don't crowd... and will surely be better received by fanatics within the comic book world. Despite its best intentions, Unknown Origins is too unfocused and trying to nail too many stories down at once. An exciting and fun film with lots of heart. This goofy send-up of gritty superhero stories winds up turning into the thing it's poking fun at. A slick fun thriller that functions best when it embraces the absurdity of the genres it mixes, but then falls flat with a third act that practically betrays the work done! Director Galán Galindo's debut feature- defies pre-conceived notions by his collage of genres:0
