TRAVEL TO MOVIES: OUR HOUSE

Director: Anthony Scott Burns
Cast: Thomas Mann , Nicola Peltz , Percy Hynes White , Carlyn Burchell , Xavier de Guzman
Plot: A machine that can bring back dead loved ones seems like a great idea...until you unleash the wrong spirits. When his parents are killed in a car accident, science wiz Ethan (Thomas Mann) must leave behind college and his girlfriend (Nicola Peltz) to care for his younger brother and sister. By day, he juggles the responsibilities of raising two kids; by night, he tinkers in the garage on an invention he hopes will change the world: a machine that can generate wireless electricity. He gets more than he bargained for, however, when the device awakens the dead souls that haunt the house. As Ethan and his siblings attempt to make contact with their parents, a horrifying realization sets in: not all the spirits in their midst may be friendly. This hair-raising science-fiction ghost story is a nightmare journey into a past that refuses to stay dead and buried.

My Movie Review: The movie is a school project gone spirit attraction in the house basement! Our House is supernatural thriller that lives in a child's fear that's quite wild to explore but give you a taste of terror that you can face- mild horror in a day to day of siblings that stick together. May not be popular as other horror flicks yet this one delivers such decent scares every time the machine turns on you don't know what's coming until the lady shadow appears in the dark:( Thomas Mann is finally the man after several films in his belt the eldest brother that becomes a parent for his younger siblings led the cast as he stop the spirit trying to comeback in the living. This have nice acting from the kids yet make weak links to stay in the cinema why gone soon?!

Other's Review: Average with a few redeeming features with six stars over ten stars in IMDb. I approached this movie with somewhat apprehensive thoughts, however it wasn't quite as bad as some of my fellow staff members had described. I'll agree that the story is a bit here and there, the characters have about as much depth as a saucer of milk and the actors that play them are almost monotonous and dreary but they occasionally have points to shine. This is one of those films you don't go out of the way to watch but if it's on you should give it a chance.
